“The core of the idea of India “

“The core of the idea of India”
Owais Shah

The idea of India emerged during the epic struggle for India’s freedom from British colonialism. The idea of India to put it in simple words is that India as a country has moved towards transcending its diversity in favour of substantially inclusive unity of its people.India is blessed with a rich and a colourful diversity.Indian diversity-Linguistic,religious,ethnic,cultural is incomparably vaster than any other country in the world.According to a record, there are 1618 languages,6400 castes, six major religions and six anthropologically defined ethnic groups, all politically administered. There are some unreasonable ideas that fly around and exaggerate the role of British in uniting India but in reality its Britain that engineered the partition of sub continent. It’s the ignominious history of British that ripped through Cyprus,Palestine and North America apart from the sub-continent.Pan-Indian people’s struggle for freedom United diversity and integrated more than 660 feudal princely states into modern India giving shape to a Pan-Indian consciousness. The diversity can be maintained only by strengthening bonds not imposing uniformity upon this diversity.
Following the partition of India and the horrendous communal aftermath, secularism became inseparable for the realisation of the state of India. The ruling class held the belief that secularism stands for equality of religion but in actuality secularism means separation of religion from politics.
Idea of India arose from a continuous battle between three visions that emerged during 1920’s on the conception of independent India.
Indian national congress held the belief that India should be a secular democratic republic. The left firmly held the belief of political and economic reformation under socialism.
Antagonistic to both beliefs stood the idea of Pakistan and Hindu Rashtra.Muslim league under the thumb of M.A Jinnah desired of a new Muslim state called Pakistan and succeded but RSS failed to carve out a Hindu State.
The Indian bourgeois and it’s leadership,Indian monopoly capital due to the compulsions of its narrow basis had to align itself with the landlord sections in order to maintain its class rule in independent India.Just like Green revolution that was confined to few pockets “Ryotwari” during British rule.
The tallest leader,B.R Ambedkar on 25 Nov.1949 precisely paraphrased the most quintessential part of the idea of india. He said”On 26th Jan 1950,we are going to enter into a life of contradictions. In politics we will have equality and in social and economic life we will have inequality. In politics,we will be recognizing the principle of one man one vote one value. In our social and economic structure,we will continue to deny the principle of one man one value. How long shall we continue to live the life full of contradictions. How long shall we sent equality in our social and economic life.If we continue to deny it for long,we will do so only by putting our political democracy in peril. We must remove this contradiction as early as possible or else those who suffer from inequality will blow up the structure of political democracy which this assembly has laboriously built up”.
Reclaiming secular democracy means the reassertion of advancing the idea of india today.
It would be fair to say that India has come closer to the pretty pass. The emergence of the idea of Fascism in Germeny has also infected the idea of India.
George Dimitrov in his “The United front” says “Fascism acts in the interests of extreme imperialists but it presents itself to the masses in the guise of the champion an ill-treated nation and appeals to outraged national sentiments”
Fascism puts the people at the mercy of the most corrupt and venal elements.
Well, the analysis of Dimitrov straight fitts with the agenda of BJP and RSS “Misgovernance and corruption”.The ruling NDA govt led by Modi has diametrically failed in delivering the promises made at the time of elections.
The Hindutva agenda talks about communal polarization. An attempt to transform history into Hindu methodology.
Philosophical irrationalism that permeates all aspects of India’s socio-political,cultural life under the BJP govt is simply unreason.
It’s reason today to seek the realisation of the idea of India by working for an economic agenda that seeks inclusion. It’s unreason to implement neo-liberal economic reforms under the collaboration with international financial capital that seeks to subjugate the Indian economy to its predatory profit maximation.Apart from negating the anti-imperialist national consciousness and reducing India as a subordinate ally of imperialism, such a trajectory widens the hiatus between two Indians.Impoverishing the poor and enriching the rich.Such an agenda is an exclusivist agenda that is opposed to inclusive India.
It’s reason today to work for the socio-economic development of the marginalised sections like Dalits,Tribals,Adivasis and women. It’s reason today to seek reservations in private sector.
It’s reason to seek equality of all citizens irrespective of caste, creed and sex.But it’s unreason today to deny this equality. As Ambedkar warns, such denial of equality is the consequence of the current economic policy trajectory.
It’s reason today to separate religion from the state and its unreason to promote communal polarization promoting exclusiveness instead of nurturing inclusiveness.
It’s reason to foster values promoting the idea of India but it’s unreason to poison our educational system restricting its universal access. It’s unreason to seek the replacement of rich syncretic culture with a Hindu mythology.
It’s reason to seek the inclusive unification of the people by celebrating rich diversity. It’s unreason to impose uniformity upon this diversity through a Hindutva hegemony.
It’s reason today to work for the prosperity of all and it’s unreason to vigorously promote crony capitalism and it’s associated mega corruption in high places.
It’s reason to promote pan-indianism but it’s unreason to invoke Hindu nationalism and their hegemony.
The new agenda for reclaiming secular democracy means the triumph of “Reason” over “Unreason”.

“Shah Faesal….The Trailblaizer

“Shah Faesal….The trailblaizer!”

Owais Ahmad Shah

After quitting IAS and plunging himself into the Political atmosphere,Dr Shah Faesals entry has received applauds as well as sharp criticism. What people call him as a trailblazer or a new age leader,Faesals political fling and now as a fulltime devotion to it has been a massive development in the JK politics. His first public rally in the month of Feb this year saw a massive public arrival and people offered an unequivocal support to him.Shah thrashed it out, took the plunge and embarked upon his new movement called Peoples Movement. The party name carries more importance and bears a passing resemblance with the Tehreek e Insaaf of Pakistan.Shah Faesal himself called Pak PM,Imran Khan as his inspiration for his struggle and super determination. He also spoke highly of New Delhi CM,Kejriwal for his will-power and can-do approach.
People in Kashmir were waiting for Faesal, the newborn politician to exert his influence in the next parliamentary elections. In a recent public rally in Srinagar, some new faces made in Shah Faesals party. It is of note that Shehla Rashid, the former JNU students Vice president also extended her support and also made her political entry.
As all eyes were on Shah Faesal, people expected something new and special from him.People thought he could be the torchbearer of grit who will wipe off despondency from the face of those people who have been betrayed and left unadressed.
Now as Shah Faesal has announced that he will not be contesting parliamentary elections,a soupcon of anger can be well seen in the faces of people.People wanted him to come and replace the earlier elected representatives.Faesal has put across some strong measures. He wants to put down his roots in every corner of Kashmir so that he can better communicate with people and can better understand their aspirations.
He does not seem to be tired of his montonous work in the recent past but he is brimful of enthusiasm and his top primacy is reaching out to the people so that he can better get their pulse. His political entry is similar to the movement of Imran Khan called “Tehreek e Insaaf” which later blossomed into one of the largest political parties in Pakistan, denting the invincibility of Shareefs and Zardaris. So following in the nose of Imran Khan,Faesal does want to have the audience in the palm of his hand.
His Khan like attitude strikes on my mind Bill Taylor who precisely puts forward his idea of leadership.Taylor says a true leader sticks his neck out for a bold course of action and finds some capital measures to cut through problems that people are facing at large.
As we know, elections are on the horizon, let Shah Faesal get down to the brasstacks and be fully equipped for the electoral politics.

“Ballot is Stronger than the bullet “

“Ballot is Stronger than the Bullet”

Showkat Ahmad Dar and Zubair Ahmad

Lets take a pledge to cast vote on Facts not on emotional Attachments this time. The 2019 Indian general election is scheduled to be held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the
17th Lok Sabha . The counting of votes will be conducted on
23 May, and on the same day the results will be declared.Hence All the national and regional political parties are in the full swing and using their elbow greese to draft their manifesto in order to get success in the upcoming election. Yes, Vote power matters in india Without Right to
vote their will be no democracy. I must say that Voting is not
only our right infact it is our power.

The biggest bottleneck in india is that People often and usually cast their votes on the bases of emotional attachment which after the decleration of result proved disaster when the actuality and Factulaity comes into the picture. As a responsible and Good citizen we all should cast our vote on the bases of factism not on emotional attachments. Sense of oneness and belongingness is very bad during cast of votes. Let me pen down a beautiful story here which helps you to understand the factism and emotional attachment.
Once upon a time their was an election in the united states between A and B. A was very good educated and pragmatic as compared to B. B was married and his wife who was also much educated and pragmatic B was much sure that on the day of casting vote his wife will cast her vote in favour of her husband.
On the very next day The day of voting was started The wife of B had gone to polling station for casting her vote. She casted her vote in favour of A not to her husband. She came back to her respective home and her husband was much sure about her vote in favour of Her husband. But during casting of vote Unfortunately the ring of said women was dropped into the box.She told a lie to her husband that she casted her vote in favour of her husband. The husband felt on the cloudnine that he might be win the election.
On the next day counting was started and polling officers found a ring in the box of A. Their was hue and cry whose golden ring belongs to. A was standing there during counting he recognised his wifes ring which he found in the box of A.He got surprised that his wife told a big lie to his husband. A lost the election just by only one vote.after approached at home A talked with his wife and told him why you told a big lie that you casted your vote in favour of me.while we found your ring in the ballot box of B who was my rival. The wife beautifully answered that yes one vote has always great power and i casted my vote on fact not on emotions because A is much intelligent and honest than you so I prefered to vote for A.This is called wisdom voting and power of one vote.Yes, it matters.

The other examples of power of one vote are:

In 1800 – Thomas Jefferson was elected President by one
vote in the House of Representatives after a tie in the
Electoral College.
In 1824 – Andrew Jackson won the presidential popular vote
but lost by one vote in the House of Representatives to John
Quincy Adams after an Electoral College dead-lock.
In 1845 – The U.S. Senate passed the convention annexing
Texas by two votes (27/25).
In 1846 – President Polk’s request for a Declaration of War
against Mexico passed by one vote.
In 1867 – The Alaska purchase was ratified in the Senate by
two votes: 37-2, paving the way for future statehood.
In 1868 – President Andrew Johnson was Impeached but not
convicted because the Senate was one vote shy of the
necessary two thirds required.
In 1876 – Samuel Tilden won the presidential popular vote but
came up one electoral vote shy of the
necessary two thirds required.

The word “vote” causes many different reactions from people.
Some become aggressive and begin to express their opinions
on various political issues while others try to avoid the topic
completely. However, there is a vast majority who rely on pat
answers to support their neglect in voting. They use excuses
such as, it doesn’t matter if they vote or not because their on
vote couldn’t possibly make a difference. They say they don’t
understand politics its just too confusing. Some feel that
Politicians are crooks so they need not bother voting at all.
These are just a few of the common excuses heard from
people who do not vote. All of these excuses surely won’t
make a difference in an election but one vote definitely will.
history So, it is evident that
politicians know that every vote they can attract will make a
difference in the outcome of elections. Our society seems to
have lost interest in politics for several reasons, some feel
that our present leaders don’t attempt to accomplish anything
while in office and others feel they have been lied to so often
they have forfeited their right to be trusted all together. What
they don’t understand is that voting and politic.

There are some who genuinely cast their vote, many
people sit back and relax on voting day, and others are
cajoled into voting for particular candidates. The importance
of voting is lost amongst the hustle and bustle of city life.
While everyone sits and complains about this and that, and
makes suggestions that the government should change this
and that, the elections come and go without half the
population paying attention. The highest recorded voter
turnout in India was recorded in 2014 for the Lok Sabha
elections at 66.4%. That means close to half the population
does not exercise their right to vote.

After 69 years of Independence, India has not proved itself to
have control and order. The fault lies with both the leaders
and the people. People are driven by religious beliefs rather
than what is good for the country. We should choose that
which drives the country forward, while still upholding the
Indian tradition. But politics is wound up in frivolous matters
rather than paying more attention to uplifting the poor, helping
the aged, education, water, preserving the environment,
agriculture, roads, planned urban development, and so on.

Voting is a fundamental right of any citizen that enables them
to choose the leaders of tomorrow. In many countries, the
minimum age for voting is 18 years. Voting not only enables
the citizens to vote for political parties, but it also helps them
to realize the importance of citizenship. Many people do not
vote thinking one vote will not make a change, but as a matter
of fact, it does. A nation’s political foundations are built using
elections.

Voting is a basic process that keeps a nation’s governmental
system works. It enables the citizens to choose their own
government. It also allows the people to choose their
representatives in the government. The purpose of every
government is to develop and implement various policies for
the benefit of its citizens. It also enables the person with the
right to question the government about issues and
clarifications. Voting is the way to express the opinion of a
citizen in a democratic nation. Voting is crucial to activating
the democratic process. on the day of the election, voters
won’t just have the capacity to choose their representatives in
government for the following term, and they can also decide
on measures like security issues that concede the government
authority to borrow funds for development projects and
different advancements. Also, in some cases, voters cast their
voting sheets on social issues.

Your vote can play an important part in making the change. If
you are unhappy with the current government, you can vote for
a better one. Not voting could result in the same party ruling
for another five years. At the end of the day, if the country is
stuck with a bad government, it’s the people to blame for
voting wrong or for not voting at all.

Every vote counts. Though it seems like an endless sea of
People are there to vote. Every vote counts. When the national attitude changes from thinking “my vote doesn’t make a
difference”, then the numbers increase and a multitude of
people voting will make the difference. The responsibility lies
on every individual.

Our constitution is based on the principle of one citizen, one
vote, one value, but one value has not come into existence till
now. Votes are being bought and this is happening because
citizens are not exercising their voting rights. One must
understand that when we have accepted democracy, we have
also accepted voting as part of our democratic right. We must
cast votes to help flush out corrupt leaders from politics. By
not voting, you are sacrificing your sacred right. Voting is a
sacred right of every individual and exercising his/her voting
rights is the duty of the citizens of India. If you do not vote,
you do not have any moral right to criticise anyone, the
elected corporators or any other political leaders. If citizens
do not vote, they are unnecessarily sacrificing their sacred
right. The youth must especially understand how important
and prized their vote is, which will help shape the future of the
country.

The new electrol Reform thats NOTA also matters.
The Government of India has made the provision for voters to
exercise their vote even if they are not happy with any of the
candidates. NOTA stands for None of the Above and this is an
important vote to cast for those who aren’t satisfied by any of
the parties standing. Voting NOTA expresses that none of the
candidates are good enough. NOTA votes count, however in
case the majority of the votes are NOTA, then the party with
the next majority will come to power.

POWER/DUTY of VOTING, whatever one calls it, is what fuels
the engine of democracy. You might not notice the importance
of fuel when your fuel tank is filled upto the brim, but when it
gets in the RESERVE/SAVE mode is when you start thinking
over it.

Conclusion : If you think that one in a million or billion or
gazillion cannot make any difference, you may sincerely ignore
Your existence as well

Highway Ban

Umar Bashir
The state government’s decision to restrict civilian traffic on the highway for two days every week to facilitate movement of forces is an act aimed at worsening the life of the people, as state is already gripped with an extended sense of disaffection, separation resulting from hostility , varience and persecution, these measures will further exacerbate the situation.
The restrictions on civilian traffic on the 271-km-long highway will remain in force from 4am to 5pm and contains about 15000 vehicles including AMBULANCES ,SCHOOL BUSES that ply the HIGHWAY of the valley, but this announcement comes with big stick and will bustle the civil sections with severe pains in many forms and ways. The whole section of society will face hardships for some called few deemed elite . Due to the closure of artery highway the academic section will be badly hit to the extent that it will cause irreversible loss to students and lessening of the attainment of the quantity of education.

Banning civilians from a crucial highway in Kashmir is unjust, discriminatory, and reflects an apartheidist mindset among policymakers in Delhi.
This appears to be a tactic borrowed from the grotesque system of suppression and exclusion that Israel uses against Palestinians.
The highway goes through many towns and settlements in Kashmir, and is therefore essential for the local economy – a lifeline. To ban civilians from using it two days a week is just cruel.

Simply put, this is the conduct of an occupying military power. A decree that essentially means: we will use force to keep an entire population from using a lifeline route.
Halt in transport means a halt in mobility and non-earnings of these transporters during the Hartals resulted in the non-payment of loans to banks. Mechanical workshops, petrol pumps and service stations also got affected due to the halt in public transportation.
Pointing towards the inconvenience faced by people of Kashmir that at a time when the Kashmir Chamber has been raising the issue of lack of alternative routes and means of travel to Kashmir, the closure of the only available road link will put the whole population to unimaginable inconvenience and will have disastrous consequences for economy too.

The ban on civil traffic on the highway has thrown normal life out of gear in Kashmir, pains and snuffs the souls.
It is indeed a move full of disasters.

Unemoloyment : A grave concern Chowkidar ji

“”””Unemployment—- A grave Concern Chowkidar Ji “”””

Dar Showkat and Zaffar Habeeb
UnEmployment—A big headache in india and Yes Youth still waiting For ache din and Roozgar Promise made by the Chowkidar. We all berozgars have a simple Question for Chowkidar of India where is Ur promised Ache Din which you had made with Youth in 2014 Polldrum. We Youth still have been waiting for Ache Din.
Unemployment is a grave issue and one major headache.
Thousands of youngsters in J&K are idling away without jobs despite having a string of degrees; corruption , Nepotisn Favourtism, conflict and
political unstability cited are said to be the main reasons.
Jammu and kashmir ranks first in unemployment in North
India. The Jammu and Kashmir has earned a
distinction to have the highest number of unemployment in entire
North India, reveals a survey. Unemployment occurs when
people are without work and actively seeking work. The
problem of unemployment continually ruining the future of
Kashmiri youth. Unemployment is characterised by the chronic
under-
employment or disguised unemployment. Ground realities and
surveys suggest that this menace of unemployment in the
state of Jammu and Kashmir touched new heights with lakhs
of candidates applying for the thousand posts advertised by
recruitment
agencies. There are many more frustrations in unemployed ;
who daily face the task of computing with thousands of other
people. Unfortunately, despite being the greatest vice the
suicide rate is increasing alaramingly over the past few years
in Jammu and
Kashmir and many see unemployment behind it. Just a few
decades back, Kashmir was along a few places across the
globe with very Low suicide rates. Ironically, over the past two
decades, the graph of suicides has run north. Critics maintain
that successive governments have failed to tackle the problem
of
unemployment while youth continues to be in
dilemma. This sorry state of the affairs is the main cause of
drug abuse, which the drug- traffickers cash . One of the
leading reasons behind the soaring unemployment is the weak
performance by
public sectors in our part of the world.
The unemployment among the youth is commonly associated
with various problems like high crime rate among the youth
and riots. The youth have remained unemployed because of
various social challenges that face the youth. These include
laziness among the youth which makes them not to desire to
search for employment hence, they remain unemployed for
long durations because of such social elements. These two
fundamental outcomes of unemployment could result in the
social breakdown when they reach unmanageable levels.
Joblessness remains the fundamental cause of the social evils
commonly associated with high unemployment levels. These
social problems cannot be predicted when they will occur, but
they certainly will occur when the unemployment becomes
uncontrollable. The youth unemployment can be defined as a
time bomb waiting to explode.
According to the Centre for Monitoring of Indian Economy
Private LTD. The figures of Jammu and Kashmir is much
higher than at all india level figures and highest among all
state as per reports of National Sample Survey Office(NSSO)
available up to NSS68th round. it is to mention here that the
unemployment definitely the effect of population in terms of
poverty and well-being particularly in State Jammu Kashmir. In
Jammu Kashmir, the unemployment may depend upon the
following factors
There is deep relationship between poverty and
unemployment. In many areas of Jammu and Kashmir both
rural and urban sector, we see different types of poverty in
society due to unemployment such as poor housing, poor
infrastructure and poor health.
In Jammu Kashmir nearly 10.35 per cent of the population falls
under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category with the rural
areas holding more poor than the urban areas.
Out of total percentage of the population living below poverty
line, the percentage of population living below poverty line in
rural and urban area of JK has been estimated at 11.54% and
7.20%, respectively.
As you know that Jammu and Kashmir have highest
percentages population unemployment all over in country as
compared other states in many recently reports. Therefore,
unemployment generates more poverty in Jammu Kashmir.
The many social problems depend upon employment. The
unemployment breeds many social problems such as
dishonesty, gambling, bribery, theft etc.
In Jammu Kashmir there are many social problems due to
more unemployment. Major unemployment and result population waste
their major time in terms of gambling, bad smoking,
entertainment etc.
The delivery system of development and wellbeing of state of
Jammu and Kashmir is so weak which results setback in many of
issues at national and international level. There is more
dishonesty in Jammu and Kashmir as per many report
published different national and international agencies.
The state Jammu and Kashmir is among one of the state
where the bribery is very high as compared to other state.
Overall the results of unemployment effect badly social
security that is jeopardized.
The problem of unemployment causes loss of human
resources. The labourers waste their maximum time in search
of employment but failed to get job and satisfactory in Jammu
and Kashmir. The large number of suicide cases in Jammu
and Kashmir is due to unemployment.
If loss of human resources can be controlled by implementing
the various government schemes and programmes properly in
such a way human resources may be engaged for
development and wellbeing for society.
The main reasons behind unemployment is political instability.
The unemployment gives birth to political instability in country
or state and loses all faith in democratic values and peaceful
means. They consider that government is worthless which fails
to provide them work. The political instability in Jammu and
Kashmir results many problems including high unemployment.
The education system in Jammu and Kashmir has failed to
respond to the existing inter-generation gap. It simply imparts
general and literary education devoid of any practical content.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the high dropout rate in education
system leads to more unemployment.
The main reasons for dropout and discontinuation of
education in Jammu and Kashmir are financial constraints,
engagement in domestic activities and engagement in
economic activities. According to the report “Education in
India” released by National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) in
the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The 32.3 percent of dropout
and discontinuation of education in rural Jammu and Kashmir
for males is due to financial Constraints and 31.5 percent is
due to engagement in economic activities while 35.7 percent
of dropout and discontinuation of education in rural Jammu
and Kashmir for females is due to engagement in domestic
activities. The 24.9 percent of dropout and discontinuation of
education in urban Jammu and Kashmir for males is same due
to financial constraints and 31.1 percentage is due to
engagement in economic activities while 20.0 percent of
dropout and discontinuation of education in urban Jammu and
Kashmir for females is due to engagement in domestic
activities. india’s education policy merely produces clerks and
lower cadre executives for the government and private
concerns. The same situation is for state Jammu and Kashmir
for producing clerks and lower cadre executives. The need of
the hour is that there must be sufficient number of technical
training institutions and other job oriented courses at village
level. Most of the students in rural areas remain ignorant of
possible venues of employment and choice of occupation.
The expansion of tertiary sector comprising commerce, trade
transportation etc. is limited which could not provide
employment even to the existing labour force, what to think
about new entrants. As a result of this, there is a wide scale of
unemployment among engineers, doctors, technically trained
persons and other technocrats. The state Jammu and Kashmir
have a potential to play an important role of service sector for
the growth, improve the quality of life and change of
infrastructure. The tertiary sector has a pivotal role in the
Jammu & Kashmir’s economic development and constitutes a
major part of the economy of the State both in terms of
employment potential and its contribution to the State Income
(NSDP).
It has seen that self-employment in Jammu Kashmir is very
rarer because of poor avenues and opportunities. The
unemployment youth in Jammu Kashmir ignores the self-
employment as a lack of awareness and is not ready to come
out from comfort zones like in state Jammu and Kashmir.
Another hurdle in generation of employment opportunities is
that there are inappropriate means for self-employment in
rural and semi-urban areas of Jammu Kashmir.
last one factor but not least The jammu kashmir public service
commission now adopted usa’a Patronage or spoil system .This
is all due to their negligence and pathetic performance. infact
Kas exam 2016 is still lingering in the court which created lots
of problems among the youth of jammu and Kashmir who are
preparing for the same examination for last 3 or 4 years. But
after the declaration of result chunk of youth got despier and
lost their hopes. Its all due to the mistakes of commission.
Hence largest recruiting agency is playing with the blood and
carrer of Youth. Hence the youth of jammu and kashmir got
fed with the recruiting agencies of jammu and kashmir who
are persistently using mantra of nepotism and favouritism.
The above ill effects of unemployment needs urgent attention
in Jammu Kashmir states to creations and generations of
unemployment from government, stress and awareness of
self-employments job, use of human resources in a better way
for development and reduce poverty and well-being, help to
development concept of society for employment generation,
change the education system in order to reduce the dropout,
emphases onskill development to unemployment youths and
many other government and non-government programmes on
employment scenario.
At last but not least Unemployment is a grave concern and hot
button social issue . its tackling demands holistic vision and it
is the need of hour.

Reintrepreting Indian Politics !!!

Re-interpreting Indian politics!!!

Owais Ahmad Shah

Politics offers a better, possible space for  putting in place positive initiatives to cut through the abject miseries that people are suffering from a long time.It gives fair chance to a common man to speak up and fight against all atrocities that have crept into the system. It would be not fair to take politics from a very narrow minded perspective, but it should be taken from a long and a hard outlook. The subject of politics comprises of two different aspects. One is termed as good politics and the other is termed as bad politics. In good politics, leaders treat their followers with fatherly affections and followers also pin their faith in the leaders for best possible reforms. In bad politics, leaders treat their followers with clinical and anarchic feelings and leave no stone unturned to cut swathe through the relationship, followers also keep on following them with a blind faith.
As we know that parliamentary elections are on the horizon, its high Time to reinterpret and re-imagine politics for grand initiatives that will allow a fair space for every tom dick and harry to have a fair shake of hand in the electoral politics. In our past,we had misunderstood’ electoral Politics but I think spate of crisis faced by the country has knocked a sense of pure optimism in our minds for making the best use of vote.
Every citizen of any country nurtures the dream of seeing his country on top of the world,Peace and harmony are top objectives which can pave the way for success to any country provided that every work is done in the dignified and reasonable way.But the aforementioned argument almost is inapplicable on Indian politics. Here politics has become a closed shop.A shop that is only opened when resentment makes a huge rod in the back of politicians. Every politician is like playing God and nobody can ever dare to challenge him or her.Because speaking against anyone is like committing a horrible crime.Politicians abuse,” Marzi ke maalik”.But who is responsible for all such menace and disequilibrium.I believe and others may also agree. Its we who are axing their own feet.We vote so we have a power. Why should anyone dictate us and why should it be their business. When we vote so its we who send people to represent us to give utterance to our feelings. But we have come closer to a very terrible change and that is called”Lurism”.We are lured by politicians either on money or on false promises and as a consequence of it we cry every day of govt. The time has come to wake up to the fact that despite all such gimmickry we start pinning our faith in sound policies rather than on those politicians who are nepotistic and cruel. There are exceptions that in very small numbers true leaders are also on the run but they aren’t visible because they are always under the shoes of top level rulers. In India we hear about conflicts, rape,Dalit atrocities and shameful acts of political vendetta. These cases always invigorate us,we curse ruling parties, shame them. They horrendous incidents like rape and murder of a minority girl at Kathua brought together the whole country.People spilled out all their anger and frustration. This seriously begs a question. Are we susceptible to “Tokenism” because politicans played the card of minority as a symbolic gesture to earn brownie points. We need to wake up and smell real politics. Its not one incident that shakes their conscience but every need of common person should be addressed. If we ponder seriously over this question then our vote has destroyed our destiny.Politicians have completely failed to ratchet up awareness programmes on grave issues.Desperate measures to engage more and more youth into multiple fields is met seriously with political patronage.Dalit atrocities is another grave concern, which has almost left India in a state of absolute bewilderment.Dalits are in despair not because they havent voted but they are searching in daze who to question.Mob lyniching on beef gives rise to vigilantism.Precisely vigilantism has hijacked the idea of law and order. We should never question these vigilantes but their belief is buttressed upon an argument of “Hate and Hatred”. They also believe we have free run to zap anyone whom we pounce upon.Indian political lopsidedness has unleashed forces of varities. We identify them with Gau rakshaks,Vigilantes,Naxalites,Rapits,Druggists and others. Our future would augur bright if we only touch the iceberg of problem. But we dont care and our politicians admire our mood.We are now on the threshold of excruciating boredom. We only watch TV and dip into newspapers.I think media has done a massive damage to the national integrity and its now incumbent upon them to be very strong and create awareness among the people to realize their own democratic values rather than making TV shows a fun time.I believe change will happen if India sprouts up leaves of golden optimism.Let us learn from our mistakes.Let us put our faith in stronger sound policies not anarchist leaders. Let us say goodbye to “Blind following” which has time and again reduced the values of democratic ideals.Let us create awareness among common masses. They fall prey to any blandishments of supposed leaders.Let us create a close-knit community to rev up the rusted engine of political leadership.I hope out precious vote and it’s better usage will offer us a best platform to take a walk forward with our heads held high in unison.A sea change is needed to address the unheard.

The vote matters to India”

“On 15th August when India after centuries of foreign domination started breathing fresh pure air of freedom, none would have thought that this fresh air would turn poisonous and with the passage of time gets so much contaminated that it would poison the whole of the country’s democratic set-up and the persons to whom the responsibility of governing the country be given would be the fountain head of such poisonous contaminated air”.

The present day politicians governing the country are obsessed in the mantra of looting the country, filling their own coffers. They could be seen fighting for the bone like snarling stray dogs on the street. Power by any means is their prime objective and this lust for power leads to conspiracy, murders and forging a nest between likeminded politicians, bureaucrats and mafias. Now a day’s politics has become such a lucrative profession where prior investment of money and muscle power to grab the chair is suffice to feed the several generations and gives one the respectful position in the society. Politicians are much willing to go with any political party or group so long it serves their interest. The trading and defection among the political parties has become a common practice. In the recent past, the coalition break-up between BJP and PDP can better justify the aforementioned argument. When PDP was left out of power, it’s top members started changing their colours and joined other regional parties whom they thought would have more power in the future.
Spate of scams are pending before courts relating to misappropriation, frauds, corruption in which the present day politicians are shamelessly involved. The definition of corruption has been modified by these politicians tearing every fabrics of morality and ethics. Now unless the court decides a politician as corrupt, otherwise he is more honest than an individual even after getting jailed for months on corruption charges.
Ethics is the most traumatic jokes in the present day politics. In every scam whether Tehelka,Fodder,Hawala,2G or the new called Rafael deal we find wires connected to some powerful politicians.
We shouldn’t forget the laudable example of collective responsibility set up by Britian decades ago when the Harold Macmillan government resigned en masse over scandal of the Defence Minister Profumo associated with the prostitute Christine Keeper, an obscure spy hobnobbing with the Soviet Minister.

Many politicians have reached the nadir of immorality when as a last ditch effort to grab power, they resort to booth capturing and rigging with the help of criminals and gangsters. Many politicians make it to power by openly wielding muscle power, by threatening people openly in public rallies.
The ills of castiesm, communalism and nepotism has insidiously left democracy as an empty shell. Sagely said by the former PM of India, late Rajeev Gandhi that out of 100% only 17% is actually spent on the developmental work of the country.
People have lost faith in their leaders. The youth are disillusioned and they are finding themselves on the horns of dilemma. Voters also find democratic process as the sole process of maneuvering. The situation is undoubtedly grave and everyone seems to be carrying the chip on their shoulder. In a country where the common men had become indifferent towards the process of elections which is the base of democratic set up due to the politics and politicians who are becoming unethical and immoral, the disastrous effect is unimaginable and the whole democratic set up may be left paralyzed.
It is fair to blame politicians only but people should also hold themselves responsible to the great extent for making politicians corrupt. If the people use their right to vote in favour of a gentleman and honest leaders and devote some time to make him the winner, an example can be set and the corrupt politicians would have to think twice before contesting elections. But this is not the case, money and muscle power carries more effect.
It is not to conclude that all the politicians are corrupt. The undying hope lies with the honest and committed politicians who have sacrificed a lot for the welfare of the nation. It is ripe time we enforce a code of conduct to stem the rod and this exercise must begin now. A transparency in the working is urgently needed. Responsible media and opposition can play an important role in exposing the corrupt politicians. The people are also becoming aware of their right to vote, They also think that unless they use their vote for the right leader, the future of the country is set to be bleak and they themselves have to suffer miserably because of their wrong judgment.
Let us hope that the people of India will vote for the honest, dedicated and sincere leaders so that a sea change can be seen in the future.

“Where are human right organizations –Alive or dead??

Showkat Ahmad Dar & Zubair Ahmad

A Genocide, massacre after massacre, after massacre, after
massacre. No one in the world seems to be worried about it.
Nowhere else in the world, human life was deemed as
worthless as in current era. Kashmir is an intractable conflict between the two
South Asian countries: India and Pakistan. It has affected
people of tiny nation badly. Every individual suffered here in
this vale of paradise which was known as the beautiful region
across the globe. But its irony that due to unrest, turmoil, and
cycle of violence, people lost their kiths and kins; and
because of all that, State of Jammu and Kashmir suffered a
lot. This valley has seen plenty of untold stories of massive
violations of human rights committed by army, police,
and by some of the militant groups. Since 1989, the people of
Kashmir were killed, tortured, humiliated, and injured.
Thousands of the people were killed due to cycle of violence
prevalent in Jammu and Kashmir. Thousands of the people got injuries and they became disabled to work. Many are those who lost their beloved children’s, daughters, sisters, mothers,
and some women have lost their beloved husbands, who were
only the source to care for them. Due to turmoil situations,
thousands of the houses and shops were burnt. This study will describe how fundamental rights of the people were
encroached and curtailed. It will also highlight how the people of this region were suppressed due to misuse of the armed forces..

Human right organizations around the world took pledge to dedicate their efforts to protecting human rights and ending human rights abuses without any loaves and fish .Human rights abuses in the Indian state of Jammu and
Kashmir state are an ongoing issue. The abuses range from
mass killings, enforced disappearances , torture, rape and
sexual abuse to political repression and suppression of
freedom of speech . The Indian Army , Central Reserve Police
Force (CRPF), Border Security Personnel (BSF) and various
separatist militant groups have been accused and held
accountable for committing severe human rights abuses
against Kashmiri civilians .
Crimes by militants are said to be incomparable with the
larger scale abuse by state forces. Some rights
groups say close to 100,000 people have died since 1989
while the official figures from Indian sources state the
estimates of number of civilians killed due to the insurgency in
the range of 18,725 to 49,000 civilians, in which 4,642
civilians were killed by security forces. India
accuses the Pakistan Army for abusing human rights in
Jammu and Kashmir by violating the ceasefire and continuing
to kill Kashmiri civilians , a claim which is
totally rejected by Pakistan who blames Indian army for the
violation of LoC.
Let me hit the hit the road about the symbol over substance of kashmirs about human rights organizations. Is human right organisation is still alive or dead where is their already taken pledge to dedicate their efforts for ending the tortures and bloodshed. Kashmir is bleeding everyday infact kashmirs people born in bloodshed, lives in bloodshed and dies in bloodshed. Don’t we people have right to live happily. kashmir valley became a place where the blood is monotonous. Violations here became perpetual and persistent and its outcome is only we kashmiris bear the loss.
2018 and 2019 witnessed large no of violations in kashmir valley
Dear India i am not anti India but remember Those who tied a Kashmir guy to jeep. Paraded him on
bonnet. Made t-shirts out of this. Now are suddenly
reminded of Geneva Conventions.
We kashmiris are in the brim of fire every day we have fear in our minds and hearts. There is karbala everyday in kashmir we wake up with the news of bloodshed. We feels our body, desperate to know whether We are still alive.

Mother was waiting for his son’s Release and police brought his dead body This is our kashmir.Yes, I am talking about A private school teacher, who was arrested by the Jammu and
Kashmir police in connection with a militancy
related case, died in custody on 19th of march 2109 on Tuesday prompting authorities
to order a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
Rizwan Asad Pandit (28), a resident of Awantipora in south
Kashmir’s Pulwama district was a militancy suspect, the police
said. He was arrested from his home a few days back and he
died during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
Sources revealed that Pandit was being interrogated at Cargo
headquarters of special operations group (SOG) of J&K Police
in Srinagar, when he died.
The family of the victim said Rizwan had no links with any
militant group and they were being harassed just because they
are supporters of Jamaat-e-Islami, a politico-religious
organisation banned by the Center government last month.
The police have requested a magisterial inquiry under Section
176 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to ascertain the cause
and circumstances leading to Pandit’s death, a police official
said, adding that further details were awaited.
Separately police investigation has also been initiated in the
jurisdictional area of the incident.

My Question is that These types of enquires are regular and habitual in our kashmir valley . Now After few months the Authorities will definitely closedown the his case of enquiry. Does investigation or enquiry give us our brother back not at all. Stop these types of violations in kashmir before it reaches point of no return.

Thousands of Kashmiris have been reported to be killed by security forces in custody, extrajudicial executions and
enforced disappearances and these human right violations are
said to be carried out by Indian security forces under total
impunity. Civilians including women and children have been killed in “reprisal” attacks by Indian security forces.

The soldiers of the 4th Rajputana Rifles of the Indian Army on
23 February 1991 launched a search operation for the militants
in a village Kunan Poshpora , in the Kupwara district of Jammu
and Kashmir and after which they were accused by locals of
allegedly raping 23 women. Later, interviews of victims
and eyewitnesses were documented into a short film Ocean of
Tears which was prevented from being broadcast.
Nevertheless, the Indian committee that led a thorough
investigation concluded that the allegations were “grossly
exaggerated” and the Kunan rape story was “a massive hoax
orchestrated by militant groups and their sympathizers and
mentors in Kashmir and abroad as a part of sustained and
cleverly contrived strategy of psychological warfare and as an
entry point for re-inscribing Kashmir on the International
Agenda as a Human rights issue.” However, Human Rights
organizations including Human Rights Watch have reported
that the number of raped women could be as high as 100.

During the Amarnath land transfer controversy more than 40 unarmed protesters were killed by the personnel of Central
Reserve Police Force. At least 300 were detained under
Public Safety Act, including teenagers. The same practice
was again repeated by the personnels of the Central Reserve
Police Force, during the 2010 Kashmir Unrest , which resulted
in 112 deaths, including many teenager protesters at various
incidents.
Hundreds of civilians including women and children have
reportedly been extrajudicial executed by Indian security
forces and the killings are concealed as fake encounters.
Despite government denial, Indian security officials have
reportedly confessed to Human Rights Watch of the
widespread occurrence of fake encounters and its
encouragement for awards and promotions According to a BBC interview with an anonymous security person, ‘fake
encounter’ killings are those in which security personnel kill
someone in cold blood while claiming that the casualty
occurred in a gun battle. It also asserts that the security
personnel are Kashmiris and “even surrendered militants”

“Women in Kashmir have suffered enormously since the
separatist struggle became violent in 1989–90. Like the
women in other conflict zones, they have been raped,
tortured, maimed and killed. A few of them were even jailed
for years together. Kashmiri women are among the worst
sufferers of sexual violence in the world. Sexual violence
has been routinely perpetrated on Kashmiri women, with
11.6% of respondents saying they were victims of sexual
abuse.”
The United Nation report on Human Rights has come so late.
The country is filled with grave-yards, tragedies everywhere,
every family has lost a loved one. Every day brings sad news.
To deprive Kashmiris of human sympathy, world-wide, there
are always enough propaganda reasons, that paint them as
one thing or other and with Indo-Pak governmental resources
a lot can be done.
They are the people who are asking for their freedom, a right
exercised by 194 member nations of UN, or at least a lull in
the rain of fire.

Human rights reports are not enough to stop violations in kashmir.

people felt that state have lost the trust of all these magisterial inquires. Hardly anything has come out of them and truth has been the biggest casualty. The kashmir dispute needs red pencil policy and pragmatic approach for forever rectification. It is pertinent to mention here that no democracy can
be successful where draconian and inhuman laws are
prevailing. Democracy can only survive when the dignity of every individual will be respected and safeguarded. Here are
tears in every mother’s eyes that lost their beloved children.
Everybody here hates violence and is ready to see peaceful
Kashmir without any conflict and human rights violations, may
this dream of so many become reality
There is an urgent need to address
HumanRights violations and abuses and to deliver justice for all people, who have suffered a conflict that has claimed or ruined numerous lives for seven decades.
The human rights violations in state
of Jammu and Kashmir would be considered
democratic failure and dysfunctional polity
which is run by the Indian government in
valley. Kashmiri even are not feeling safe in other parts of India, they are being terrorized and killed in other parts of India. India has always
abused her power in Kashmir. This all was
done on the basis of bayonet and misuse of
power. India debunks the image of Kashmiri
everywhere undoubtedly, it can be said that Kashmiri people are talented, humane, character, and generous, but the system had always suppressed them without taking
into consideration their genuine demands.
Democracy is based on rule of law, justice,
equality, and liberty. But it’s quite ironic that
these features of democracy are absent in Kashmir. All eruptions in the state were caused only because of the democratic failure.

Internet….. Oxygen and blood, let it flow

Internet —– Oxygen and blood, Let it flow”

Showkat Ahmad Dar
The Internet is becoming the town square for the global village of tomorrow. We are all now
connected by the Internet, like neurons in a giant brain. Infact the internet became boon and bane for the people today. Nowadays, most things are connected to the internet and it has completely changed the way we live our lives.
Research has shown that the value of the Internet of things goes further than just connected devices, through the habits that we live by and how this affects our businesses and our personal lives. On the way home from work a woman uses her phone to turn on her central heating. At the same time, an
elder male’s pacemaker is telling the computer at his hospital that his heart-rate has slowed down. Almost everything is accessible in seconds. We are in control of practically everything we own. For people with disabilities or physical difficulties, this kind of technology has probably improved the quality of their lives tenfold. An elderly woman that has difficulty standing can use the internet to turn off the lights in her house when she goes to bed. A man at work can access his home’s CCTV camera to check on his disabled father. The internet is helping is find solutions to everything that used to put a stop to us living our lives freely.

Last month, I met my flock of Intellectual benevolent humans. All we in combine decided to make competitive exams a little easy for young aspirants in Kashmir valley. After hitting the road about the same joint venture we decided to develop an App which will provides students study material, counseling and information on courses and examinations among other features. After few months we all decided to stop this joint venture. the reason for stoppage is nothing but only persistent barring of internet in Kashmir valley. And this got me thinking the percentage of netizens is tremendously
increasing day by day and percentage is expected to increase 3.9 billion in 2018 .How will Bharat
achieve the Digital India plan of making the Internet available to everybody if we curb access to it in some parts of the country?
At the moment, the tendency of the authorities, in India as well as in other countries, is to shut down the Internet or mobile network in conflict situations to close channels of communications for insurgents. That affects civilians as well.
In the last four years, there have been 27 cases of network shutdowns across India. This figure is from a soon-to-be- released report titled Internet Shutdowns in India that the research & advocacy wing of the Digital Empowerment
Foundation (DEF) has prepared. Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, allows the state apparatus to prohibit the assembly of more than 10 people in an area.
Section 69A of the Information Technology Act gives the centre the power to block certain websites or order the blocking of access to data services if a situation threatens security.

In India, it seems, restrictions have been growing over the years. According to DEF’s ‘Internet Shutdown in India’ report, there were two cases each of Internet shutdowns in 2013, 2014 and 2019. But last year, India recorded 14 cases of Internet shutdowns, one of the highest in its history. This year, between May and June alone, the country has already witnessed nine cases of Internet shutdowns, not including the
ongoing virtual curfew imposed in the Valley.
Nine Indian states have witnessed network shutdowns between January 2018 and Jan 2019, Jammu and Kashmir ranks first with nine shutdowns due to “terrorist attack”, “social
unrest”, “possibility of spread of rumors on social media” and
“precautionary measure in view of the Prime Minister’s rally in Srinagar”. It’s followed by Gujarat and Haryana with eight and four cases, respectively.
“Social unrest” due to issues of beef ban, Jat agitation, reservation and terrorist attacks are the main reasons for the high number of network shutdowns in these two states.
Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland recorded one case each in the last four years.

It is interesting to note that Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat top the list. While national security, insurgency and the spread of violence are a fear in the conflict-ridden state of Jammu & Kashmir, I wonder what similar threats the government sees in Gujarat—a presumably conflict-free state. Also, if conflict states “require” the government to sometimes impose Section
69A on certain occasions to maintain law and order, how come there has been no such incident reported in
Chhattisgarh, which is affected by Maoist insurgency, in the last four years?
According to the same DEF report, authorities say that 11 out of 27 network shutdowns in India were enforced for “preventive measures”—to maintain law and order in the area.
The increasing number of shutdowns seems to show that the
government is evading its actual responsibility of maintaining law and order, and taking post-incident measures which are undemocratic.
We must understand here that a virtual curfew (Internet shutdown) is as bad as, if not worse than, a physical curfew. It involves many more people and it’s not restricted to a geography. It includes anybody who is online.
Additionally, the government must also understand that the Internet, more than any other medium of communication, is a force multiplier for constructive purposes, instead of perceiving it as a tool merely for nefarious ones. Even at atime of a possible threat to law and order, access to the
Internet also provides citizens with access to emergency services.

My paradise kashmirs economy is shrinking day by day. its all due to barring of frequent internet by the authorities . This barring laid down titanic effect on the lives of students and businessman in different ways. Flock of kashmir Youth are doing their business with telecommunications. Hence due to barring of internet they all get big blow in terms of their economy and livelihood. Dear digital India Remember access to internet is our Democratic right, so don’t take it again and again from us. Infact this is blessing of science not blessing of state or govt. Look towards developed countries of the world and try to mug up their mantra of wellbeing and prosperity. Major portion of their economy and prosperity lies in the accessing of internet. It’s not enough to call yourself worlds 3rd largest economy. The agencies of the govt became lame in order to carry out their daily functions because of frequent internet barring So who suffers only kashmiris where barring of internet is Perpetual. The government of India and its line ,staff agencies are unable to solve the problems of people .It gave a birth to Red tapeism again

In today’s time, access to the Internet is a democratic right, and it should not be taken away from citizens on the pretext of law and order.

Democracy in India

Owais Ahmad Shah
The subject of democracy is fascinating for scholars and journalists. Reams have been written to unravel the paradox of the country despite so many factors that belie it. The million dollar question of how Indian democracy can scythe its way through troubled times always remains unaddressed.
The kind of challenges India faced in the first two decades after independence would have left any scholar diametrically skeptical about Indian democracy’s success, one such proof positive is “India: The most dangerous decades” written by Selig.S.Harrison in 1960.In it, Harrison warned:”Odds are almost wholly against the survival of freedom….The issue is in fact whether any Indian state can survive at all”. Yet Indian democracy survived, surprising and confounding its critic’s.
The million dollar question of can democracy deliver in the backdrop of what it has promised to the people of India always takes the centre stage.
Democracy might offer the best solution to politics within the system, but how good is it at coping with politics of the system? Does the democratic process, particularly in a post colonial context, have the strategic room to maneuver to reform the political system of which it is a part? What additional resources might India need to repair the ship, while keeping afloat as storm clouds gather on the horizon?
In India, democracy is embraced only as an interest aggregation or accommodation but not as a liberal force that can pace the way for astounding success stories. Such criticism would sumptuously gnaw away at it and ultimately will reduce it to an empty shell.
Democracy is the most cherished and relished ideal of any country. Every citizen of any country has a yearning desire of a free and fair society that allows every individual to have a fair shake of hand in all subjects that form an integral part of this sacred institution. In a country like India, democracy has always been a red-hot subject that takes the centre stage to attain the glory. During the state of fledgling, the state of India saw many theories across. The so-called political masters ,intellectuals held the belief that it was a wild goose chase for a diverse country like India to survive. But this common fallacy was scotched that laid the foundations for a Grand India that not only survived but thrived to regain her past glory.
What led to many astounding success stories of India is her vibrant democracy. The critics of Indian democratic system cannot help conceding the fact that at the seventh decade of India’s independence, India has come a long way.
The stereotyping of Indians as snake-charmers, old fashioned and dyed in the wool traditionalists has been supplanted by Software technocrats, Business tycoons, Top-level professionals at the International level.
India has grown at gallop. Be it self-sufficiency in food production, development, cutting-edge technology, nuclear field, India has attained the feat.
There are two types of optimists who take a hard and a long outlook of the subject of democracy. One type of optimist believes that India is on the course to become one of the greatest and most powerful democracies in the near future.
The other type of optimist carries worry with the system.
The vexed, million-dollar question about the canker that is eating away at the heart of democratic ideals is looming large .Trust of the people in the political system has taken a downfall. The multiple menaces that have crept into the system have set major roadblocks for India to thrive and shine.
Corruption always takes the top seat that contributes to the major setbacks for any country. In the words of Edward Gibbon,” Corruption is the most infallible symptom of the constitutional liberty”. One has to bear it in mind that corruption is universal in nature and not specific to any particular country but the level of public corruption in India has reached gigantic proportions, shaking the foundation’s of liberal democracy. It has spread like a cancer in the entire political system and has cast a long shadow over the entire political system. Laying aside corruption, the recent examples of mob-lynching,Political vendetta, muzzling of independent voices and others also set major challenges for India.
Public accountability, welfare, sustainability and integrity of political class and bureaucracy has sucked into the abysmal conditions. It is not fair enough to condemn the whole political and bureaucratic class. In all fairness, a great number of fine men and women of unquestionable integrity, unfaltering commitment also tower over the horizon. The time is to accept the hard truth rather than trying to brazen it out.
It is a gospel truth that as a result of lopsidedness in the system, the public perception about the political class is at low ebb since independence. Massive scandals have tarnished the reputation of politicians and has corroded people’s faith in democracy. Given these circumstances, one can sum up that.
