Renowned Professor Nandini Sahu, a renowned Amazon bestselling author and academician, has taken on a new role as the Vice Chancellor of prestigious University in West Bengal on 20 December, 2024.This significant development highlights her impressive credentials and contributions to literature and the society at large.

As a triple gold medalist in English literature, Professor Sahu has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal from the Vice-President of India as well as The Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to English Studies in India. Srinagar, October 5th 2024: In order to create awareness around increasing incidences of breast cancer in Jammu&Kashmir, Fortis Hospital, Gurugramtoday organized an awarenessprogramme in Srinagar’s Dal Lake. Around 150 Shikaras were tied up with pink ribbons in the Dal Lake, 2000 pink balloons were flown in the air, Local Kashmiri folk dance by local artists were performed on traditional Kashmirimusic,the tourists were given free Shikara rides in the Dal Lake.

Amarnath Yatra has started in the year 2024. It is a  revered annual pilgrimage for Hindus, dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. Located in the Himalayas at an altitude of about 3,888 metres in Kashmir, the yatra takes you to the sacred Amarnath Cave, where a naturally occurring ice stalagmite, believed to be a manifestation of Lord Shiva, is formed. Unprecedented security measures, including electronic surveillance along the entire yatra route and access control arrangements, have been made for the annual Amarnath yatra that  started  on June 29.
Meanwhile, traffic authorities have issued an advisory for Amarnath yatra.
“In view of the forthcoming Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra-2024, the administration has decided to impose certain restrictions on traffic plying on different routes. These restrictions will be in force between 28/06/2024 and 19/08/2024,” an official spokesman said.
52-day pilgrimage will commence from the twin tracks –the traditional 48 km Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag and the 14 km shorter but steep Baltal route in Ganderbal — on June 29.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra at a high-level meeting in Pahalgam on Thursday.In a statement, issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Administration, Lt. Governor Sinha discussed the deployment of police and security personnel, doctors and nursing staff, duty officers, relief and rescue teams, and sanitation staff along the pilgrimage routes.”He emphasised the need for dedicated officers to oversee the effective functioning of the facilities provided by their respective departments,” the statement said.

In a big boost for Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday,20 June his first in his third term — sending a massive political message after the successful conclusion of the general election in the Union Territory.
The occasion will be the celebration of the 10th International Yoga Day, during which he will join a youth programme. Being in Jammu and Kashmir and leading a Yoga programme at Famous SKICC located on the bank of the Dal lake at that point, will be an exercise promoting national and global harmony.

Ten years ago, United Nations had declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.
Reliable sources state that over 6500 persons will perform Yoga with PM Modi, and appointment letters would be also distributed by PM during his stay.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi would spend a night at Rajbhawan, Srinagar on 20 th June.
People are highly hopeful and happy over the visit of PM Modi.

As a matter of fact, in this regard Taiwan’s direct foreign investment in India will be eight times more than what it is today in the next five years, Simon Lee, president of Taiwan Chamber of Commerce told recently ET adding that these investments will mainly be in the electronics and non-leather footwear sectors over the next three years.

Investors in Taiwan are looking at India as a bright future in the next 10 to 15 years. India will be a manufacturing hub for the world.
Taiwan is a major partner in investing in hydro- electric projects across the country especially in Arunachal Pradesh. Investors in Taiwan see very bright future for India and envisage India as manufacturing hub in next coming decade.

Simon Lee has opined that there are some challenges to this partnership like Cultural Differences and grasping local regulations that keep some Taiwan firms away from India.

March is observed as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Colorectal cancer is the 3rd most common in men and 2nd most common cancer in women (GLOBOCAN 2020) worldwide & in a study at SKIMS (2014-2016): CRC was most common in age group of 56-65 years (25%) & around 20% were less than 35 years of age & 50% had presented in Stage 3. Colorectal cancers have a huge behavioral component and 90% of colorectal cancers are preventable.
In this backdrop, the 3rd Annual Colorectal Cancer Awareness event of Kashmir  BLUETHON 2024 initiated by Dr Shabnam Bashir , senior Consultant Breast & Colorectal Cancer Surgeries & Executive Committee Member of Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons of India (North Zone), was organised under the aegis of the Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons of India (ACRSI) in collaboration with Commissionerate Of Disabilities J&K  and Voluntary Medicare Society on 28th  March 2024 at the Voluntary Medicare Society Rehabilitation Centre, Bemina. This year’s theme was ‘Awareness is Everyone’s Right!’ The event received support from Care Foundation J&K and Kashmir Cancer Awareness Network. The Bluethon included a Cancer awareness talk by Dr Shabnam Bashir, a talk by President founder of J&K Care Foundation Mr Dildar representing people with Spinal cord injury in which he mentioned various issues faced wheelchair -bound people and difficulties in accessing healthcare facilities and treatment.
Past President of, the Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons of India, Prof. Nisar Chowdari reiterated the importance of such cancer awareness events and Commissioner Disabilities J&K Mr Iqbal Lone Congratulated Dr Shabnam Bashir for the initiative and Voluntary Medicare Society for all the support in such activities & extended his support for such activities in future. The event was also attended by Director Social Welfare Mr Ishfaq Ahmed and the Founder President of Voluntary Medicare Society, Prof Mohd. Maqbool.
After welcoming the guests and participants by VMS staff, the Cancer Awareness talk was delivered by Dr Shabnam Bashir, who discussed prevention of colorectal cancers by lifestyle modification in the context of Kashmir and people with disabilities. She said the technologies and advancements are of no use if they do not reach the most vulnerable and needy segments of society. Hence, policies and pathways need to be created to make it accessible to those who cannot avail those facilities due to various limitations and healthcare facilities need to be made equitable by making the access to those facilities feasible for people who have any kind of disability that restricts them from getting an easy access to the same because awareness, screenings and treatment is everyone’s right.
 The function was concluded by vote of thanks by Dr Bashir Lone Director VMS and by creation of a Human Colon logo by all participants with various disabilities.
Colorectal Cancer Awareness themed caps were distributed by Zydus Oncology and refreshments were served to all participants by Dilshad Houseboats.

I was born in a middle class family of Ganjam district.My father was  cultivator while my mother was a school teacher,My education was not so romantic I have faced so many obstacles during my education though I have studied so many schools lastly my family settled in Nandiagada my village,my high school and college In Kabisurjyanagar then for my M A I have joined to Berahmpur University.I was fascinated by the English language and literature and inspired by my teachers to do something,that is writing.I have faced so many things in my life the road was not so easy for me , suddenly  there is twist in my life during my University I have decided to write and that is only English now the question is it’s not so easy some one can’t get name and fame in a single day it needs not only hard work lot of patience mean time I have done my phD in language and literature.
I just keep on writing ,I used to write very small poems my critics used to say but there is some intense meaning.i never stopped writing by any means.Sir Shiju H Pallithazheth noticed my writing he took me to his administration team in Motivational strips,and I found this is a place where I can generate my emotions in my writing,cause Motivational strips is a only place so many world class poets produces their thoughts.Motivational Strips  is like a heaven for me. As you know I am a published Author  ,I was awarded by so many international organisations ,in 2022 I was Gujarat Sahitya Academy from Motivational strips My writing is connecting the people.Through my writing I am  not only getting self confidence but also lot of self respect from the society.
