Blood Donation is very much important to save human lives .We also have seen throughout world many humans emerging to save human lives by Donation of blood .
Every year countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.
As a matter of fact, On World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on 14 June 2024, WHO, its partners and communities across the world mark it with fervour. This day is also marked in different countries with pledge to make blood donation popular.
In Kashmir and throughout world we need blood Donation habits among youth , and it helps people in the community. When you give, others live. Donors, especially those who donate regularly, keep our nation’s blood supply stable. Although many people donate blood after disasters, blood is needed every day of the year.

A blood service that gives patients access to safe blood and blood products in sufficient quantity is a key component of an effective health system. The global theme of World Blood Donor Day changes each year in recognition of the selfless individuals who donate their blood for people unknown to them.
Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) show sustained progress towards safer blood supplies globally but also highlight persistent inequalities in access to safe blood and weaknesses in governance, financing and regulation of blood systems.
Data collected from 132 countries reveal that global blood collections increased by nearly 19% between 2013 and 2023. Voluntary, unpaid donors continued to drive this progress, accounting for over 85% of the estimated 120 million blood donations received in 2023.
We live in times when it is much mandatory to thank blood donors across the world for their life-saving donations over the years and honour the profound impact on both patients and donors. Our children at very young age should also be taught in schools that blood donation is very much important.
What our world needs is that All the healthy individuals should take pledge to donate blood as it is key to save humanity.
