Youngsters frequently can’t adapt up to the expanding pressure in their instructive life. Accordingly schools named advisors to take the issue. Schooling specialists such a lot of tension on  them, that during board assessments a few understudies end it all. Self destruction in Kota likewise legitimize this pressing factor hypothesis. Kota is a significant center of the country for cutthroat tests arrangements and has various designing and clinical training foundations.
The online media and dating sites have turned out to be very well known among young people. Here and there because of companion pressure and at some point by decision they engage in the connections.
In any case, that reality is that they are not adult enough to deal with the pressing factor of connections. Undesirable young pregnancies bombed connections and dismissal are the significant reasons for melancholy which prompt a juvenile to end it all. To adapt to the pressure they resort to means such a liquor medications and smoking The final product of this load of means is despondency the than self destruction. This all necessities to comfort them by giving them enthusiastic help. The teens should be instructed that disappointments and dismissals are a piece of life. The guardians and educators needs to show the youngsters the fundamental of sex schooling. Teens should be shown the significance of life. Kids should join yoga and reflection classes which advance the prosperity of a person. Every individual is one of a kind and has his own shortcoming and qualities. It is basic for the guardians and  instructors and family to comprehend this reality. The blameless personalities of the teens should be padded  with the adoration and care of the elderly folks. This will assist the teens with taking care of the precarious circumstances of life effectively and arise as more grounded people.

An individual with a more elevated level of inclination may proceed to create a clinical  disease which can turn into a danger factor for self-hurt  or then again self destruction. It relies upon how they can deal with  stress.” While 2019 saw the most elevated number of understudy  suicides in total terms, this class accounted  for 8.8% of in general suicides (1.40 lakh), which is  possibly less contrasted with 8.6% in 2017 which saw  9,872cases. Drugs end all dreams Say no to drugs

Drugs end all dreams                 Say no to drugs

By Dar Showkat
Illicit drug use is the most noticeably awful friendly evil of current human advancement. It is spreading like disease. The confused and disappointed grown-ups are the prey of propensity. For the most part  of rich families, these individuals are getting ongoing of utilizing medications like heroin, smack, opium, charas, cocaine, ganja and earthy colored sugar. Chronic drug use is a piece of western culture. It is thought is a thing of design and modernization. The most exceedingly terrible part of this social evil is – on the off chance that you begin taking medication for the sake of entertainment or style, it turns out to be ongoing to such an extent that it can’t be left without any problem. It’s anything but a solicitation to death. This evil is coming to and spreading in Asian and African nations. Illicit drug use is implosion. This may take now and again as we find in the event of malignancy, yet it’s anything but a sure venturing towards death.

You needn’t bother with Heroin to be a legend”
Medications have been utilized for clinical purposes since ages. At no other time this advanced period. There was no abuse of medications. Man is eager commonly. To acquire more in brief period some enemy of social corrupted medications cause passings the individuals who are occupied in enemy of human movement for their narrow minded intentions, ought to be rebuffed. There ought to be no consolation from government office to against social components. People in general should likewise co-activity to make against social components endure.

Addiction is a symptom of not growing up.

Drug abuse is fast becoming very common among students. thousands of school and college going young men have become drug- addicts. This evil is more rampant in big cities. Villagers and the town people are still free form this abuse. Urban life is slowly becoming a mechanical life. it has become highly competitive and risky. Tension and cut-throat competition put an unbearable pressure on young men and women. Life becomes tiring and burdensome. Students tend to become escapists. As an escape from the drudgery of life, they take to drugs. In the beginning they turn to drugs just for fun and thrill. Then they get addicted to this abuse. They are compelled to even steal to buy drugs. They become physically and mentally wrecks. They invite their owndoom.
Drugs are retarded, so don’t get started”

Drug addiction is on the rise among youth both in urban as well as rural areas in Kashmir. In addition to boys, girls in teens are also said to fall in the trap of drugs here. Recently a report on drug abuse came like a bolt from the blue, claiming to have victims as young as eight. Why is the young generation tempted and wooed to devastating end? Who motivates or what provokes an eight year old child to take drugs? Who must be held accountable for all this? These are some questions that have raised the storm in Kashmir. There are many reasons behind the upward trend of drug addiction in Kashmir. The main among them is the lacking control and counseling of youth. In the absence of proper guidance and counseling at a critical age, the young are prone to adopt the disastrous habits. Besides the external members, the parents are equally responsible. The second reason is inappropriate education or wrong schooling. Schooling plays a vital role in molding the young and in overall development of the youth. It is a popular saying – “Associate with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation ,for it is better to be alone than in bad company.” The company one keeps also determines whether he ends up a victim or survivor. Drug addiction often spreads in small social groups, teen groups. Easy availability has also led to the increase in drug addiction cases in Kashmir. With the young having more than enough pocket money to buy whatever they wish, it is difficult to prevent them from getting trapped in the vicious circle.
Drug addiction is a serious matter that needs to be dealt with both at individual as well as society level, otherwise this menace would eat up all future generations. Parents should control their wards in an adequate and appropriate way and ensure that they stay miles away from drugs. It really hurts to see the young fall prey to drug and alcohol addiction in our valley. Religious figures also need to be alert and consider itas prime responsibility. People should unite and take steps to weed out the drugs from this place, and not just depend on law enforcement agencies. Social awareness programmes concerning drug abuse with participation of youngsters could prove fruitful incuring the disease. The campaigns in colleges, universities, schools, tuition centers could help. Other course of action is involving media to make people conscious about the drug addiction and its ill effects on individuals, families, communities and the society.

“Stay alive. Don’t drink and drive”
Drugs addiction must be fought on war footing. Concerning departments and public should be alert to remove this social evil. A great publicity should be made regarding this social evil. A large number of banners, posters and placards should be displayed. Evils of drug should be highlighted through the media-radio, television and press. The parents should be more careful about their wards specially in tender young age. The drug addicts should be kept under special care and treatment. Doubtful anti- social worker should be checked with regular attention and should be punished seriously if found guilty.

Sumup:
Addiction doesn’t kill the addict. It kills the family, kids and people who tried to help! The writer is a research scholar from Handwara .

Pragmatic solutions for the economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic

Pragmatic solutions for the economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic By Sheetal LalotraThe COVID-19 Pandemic has resulted in the worst global economic crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s. The world economy has been rendered crippled due to unprecedented recession within two years of the COVID-19 outbreak. The measures to slow down the soaring infection rates by governments and public health experts like restrictions on interpersonal contact (i.e., social distancing), wearing masks in public places, directing for sanitation, hygiene, isolation of infected patients, etc. resulted in the implementation of extended lockdowns by the governments which led to stagnation in consumer activities, a huge fall in tourism, hospitality, business, and stock markets collapsed resulting in a global financial crisis that resulted in many people losing their jobs or being furloughed briefly spiking poverty in many developing nations. The recovery from this crisis is deeply multidimensional involves public health, environmental, and economic measures. The COVID-19 pandemic has created numerous financial challenges for nations across the globe. The second wave of the current pandemic COVID-19 had devastating consequences for developing countries, especially India, as we failed to set up robust health infrastructure and arrange adequate relief packages to our people and industry. The first world countries like Germany and Italy have earmarked more than 25% of GDP for post-COVID economic stabilization compared to Indias meagre 10%. The International Labour Organization estimates that around 400 million people in India are at risk of sinking deeper into poverty. With nearly 3.5% of the population being fully vaccinated in the country, Indias current growth seems bracing up from () 7.97% in FY20 to 12.55% in FY21. The informally employed workforce of India, which is nearly 90% of the population, is extremely vulnerable to economic stagnation and requires greater access to formal credits by the government and social safety nets such as insurance and pension schemes to keep the wheel of the economy moving in these difficult times. There is a dire need for central and state governments to intensify the response to this unprecedented crisis and also to gear up for the financial crisis post-COVID-19. Policymakers are making use of successful responses to previous epidemics and financial slowdowns but the COVID-19 response requires a battery of interventions to grapple with its multivariate humanitarian and economic impacts. With more than 6.2% of the world population being fully vaccinated, many economies have begun to reopen. Leaders throughout the world have realized that restoring confidence in public health safety is paramount. Here are few suggestions that policymakers can build on as short and long-term plans for a sustainable and resilient economy.Invest in sustainable infrastructure to boost human welfare and human capital: There is an urgent need to reprioritize budgeted expenditures in favour of health-related expenditures including health infrastructure as recovery depends on protecting public health. Lack of medical facilities in hospitals, paucity of oxygen cylinders during the first wave and second wave respectively, lack of UHC (Universal Health Coverage) calls for reprioritization of investments for saving human lives.
Bolstering human capital to ease the transition to the post-pandemic economy: Policymakers need to invest in programs that ease labour dislocation, re-skilling of individuals to retain employment by tapping into help from existing institutions, connecting the newly unemployed quickly with talent-seeking industries, and build the workforce skills for the post-COVID economy.
Invest in R&D to build and expand innovation ecosystems: In order to attract innovative, supportive, and resilient ecosystems in the country, the policymakers can rejuvenate growth by investing more inR&D and innovation, encouraging public- and private-sector collaboration, challenge grants and competitions, and open networks and publicly available data and codeto attract talent to their area and promote resilient, innovation ecosystems.
Regulate enabling technologies: It is useful for policymakers to consider e-platforms as the future of education and business. Greater employment in the gig economy, e-commerce sectors, and in new exciting technologies on the horizon-robots, artificial intelligence, internet-of-things, etc. can help support future response and resilience mechanisms will emerge. Thus, supporting the development of such sectors and putting the right regulations in place to ensure data privacy and consumer protection is important.
Build a budget strategy for the ground-up approach: It is important that policymakers do away with the last year plus structured budget approach and incremental changes rather they should undertake long-term strategic goals with discrete objectives for the new post-COVID reality. The budget strategy should be to determine the operating needs of the activities and programs that contribute to it, rather than making comparisons with the previous year.
Invest in green and clean energy: The novel coronavirus has re-established the link between health, environment, and economy. Presently, it might be the biggest threat for humanity but global climate change eventuating in exposure to a variety of viruses/pathogens could have even more impact especially in the developing economies. It is critically important to expand access to clean water and clean air. These will improve life expectancy and increase economic and physical resilience. Therefore, investing in eco-friendly energy can be a field of view for inclusive long-term improvements. An economic rescue package for all: The dependency on fiscal measures to reboot the economy is all time soaring after WWII. The IMF could set short-term fiscal stimuli for developing/poor economies to overcome the financial crisis. India, for instance, to meet budgeted expenditure, the fiscal deficit may have to be increased to 9.2% due to the addition of 0.3% of GDP in stimulus rescue package worth INR 1.7 lakh crore announced under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. As things begin to normalize, there is a need to revise the existing budgetary numbers that have been rendered irrelevant by the onslaught of the global pandemic.
Support for NGOs and local units: The current pandemic has stripped municipalities’ lack of substantial financial resources in meeting the needs during the crisis. NGOs, throughout the country, played a significant role in reaching out to people to combat the deadly virus by providing food, sanitizers, face masks, ppe kits, oxygen cylinders, etc. Policymakers should frame policies pivotal for the smooth functioning of NGOs including grants of FCRA so that they are better equipped to take on future challenges. A collaborative effort by the government along with NGOs and local units is capable of strong and rapid action in the face of an overarching challenge. Such efforts can catapult the extremity caused by the pandemic into the normalcy we look forward to achieve.
Policymakers should provide generous, subsidized loans to businesses to help them survive and cut debts: The economic response needs to focus on maintaining employment for citizens, providing businesses with liquidity support to prevent bankruptcy and closure. Due to insufficient debt deferments, developing countries are facing Sophies choice as they fail to thrust upon providing relief packages and get stuck with paying back debts at high interest rates which cause an even deeper recession.
Lastly, a need for social economy business models: Promoting the social economy models can inspire innovative models of social and environmental concerns and a sense of purpose to businesses operating in the market economy in these difficult times.
Fig1: Social economy business models (Source: Internet)The COVID-19 crisis has called out for policymakers throughout the world to foster humanistic values of solidarity, cooperation, and responsibility and to re-balance, rethink how social, environmental, and economic activities are organized. The thoughtful decision taken by the policymakers today is a golden opportunity that can help provide relief to distressed people and can secure a long-term pathway to sustainable development by economic recovery and increase community resilience.Lets build back better.

Rising suicide cases

               Rising suicide cases

Suhaib Ashraf Bhat

Every suicide is a tragedy. Death by suicide is an extremely complex issue that causes pain to whole family. Dear brothers and sisters, don’t forget, Trouble is inevitable in the life of this world; this is how Allah swt has decreed it and He swt has made it a place of trials and tests, and a bridge to the Hereafter. Even the best of His creation, the prophets, were never free of troubles. Life is never plain sailing for anyone, young or old. You may have reason to rejoice one day, then reason to feel sad for many other days; this is how it always is in the life of this world and this is how people are all the time.
There are certain hotspots of suicide in the world, and the common thread running through these places is poverty and dearth of job opportunities resulting from the lack of development. The lack of jobs and poverty force the poor to search of a better life. But the harsh realities of life shatter their dreams. Wait for a second; this is not only the reason, According to a one report of Lancet, suicide rates in India are highest in the 15-29 age groups of the youth population. The report says that among men, 40% suicides were by individuals aged 15-29, while for women it was almost 60%.
“Stress, anxiety disorder, depression, personality disorder all these result in mental illness that leads a youth towards suicide. This happens when the youth are not satisfied with his or her surroundings.” Relationship breakdown is another leading cause.
After going through so many researches I found youth with good background also commit suicide, So it’s clear to say that Poverty and dearth of job is not only the reason to commit suicide especially in younger generation. A suicide is merely a mental health issue. Psychiatrists and Psychologists are available in every city to counsel people driven to suicide out of depression caused by economic or personal reasons. I have gone through many studies across the globe which authorities attribute most suicides to depression.
Suicide:  Which is increasing day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute and second by second? Thinkers are thinking; Philosophers making another philosophy out of it yet the rate of the suicide is increasing. Every suicide is a tragedy that affects families, communities and entire countries and has long-lasting effects on the people left behind.  Life is an unending succession of moments.  At the two extremes there are joyful moments that make our hearts soar and dark moments that plunge us into sadness and worry or even despair.  Gladness and its opposite sadness are part of the human condition, however when we lose control over our emotions we can easily fall into despair.  Despair is the feeling that we get when all hope has disappeared and it is a very dangerous situation. Calamity is part of the natural order of things and hardly anyone is safe from it.
The Messenger of Allah  swt Muhammad Salalahualihwasalam narrated from his Lord that He Said: “I am as my slave expects Me to be.
Ahmad bin ‘Umar al-Qurtubi Rahimullah said:“It is said that His Saying “I am as my slave expects Me to be” means if one expects an answer when he supplicates, his repentance to be accepted, something repugnant to be repelled from him, his deeds to be accepted that are performed with their proper conditions. And this is supported by his saying: “Call upon Allah swt while you are certain that you will be answered.” Likewise, it is incumbent upon the one who repents, seeks Forgiveness, and does good deeds to exert himself in fulfilling his obligations while he is certain that Allah swt will accept his actions and Forgive his sins, as Allah swt has promised that He will accept any truthful repentance and righteous deeds. So, whoever performs such a deed and believes and expects that Allah swt will not accept it and that it will not benefit him, this is despair from the Mercy of Allah swt, and is from greatest of the major sins. Whoever dies upon this will be delivered to that which he expected.”‘Al-Mufhim li ma Ushkil min Talkhis Kitab Muslim’ (5/267)
Suicide is a complex issue and therefore suicide prevention efforts require coordination and collaboration among multiple sectors of society, including the health sector and other sectors such as education, labour, agriculture, business, justice, law, defence, politics, and the media. These efforts must be comprehensive and integrated as no single approach alone can make an impact on an issue as complex as suicide.

“And whoever oppresses (commits injustice) among you, We will make him taste a great punishment.” (Quran 25:19)
Prophet Muhammad Salalahualihiwasalam said: “A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor.  Whoever fulfills the needs of his brother, Allah swt will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah swt will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever covers the faults of a Muslim, Allah swt will cover his faults on the Day of Resurrection.”
Thus there is certainly a benefit in treating others well, especially in coming to the aid of friends or family members who are overwhelmed by life’s cruelties and injustices.  However what of the people who feel alone, crushed by circumstance and are teetering on the edge of despair.  How can a person suffering from suicidal thoughts bring themselves back from the brink? This can be achieved in many ways; firstly by strengthening one’s relationship with Allah swt. This is achieved by reading the Quran, being mindful of Him and making lots of dua (supplication) to Allah swt. Next a person would do well to recognise Satan’s hand in this matter.  He whispers frightening scenarios of poverty and helplessness.  They are not true for Allah swt’s mercy conquers all.  Cling to Him and to Islam even in the darkest hour and the longest night.
If you suspect that a family member or friend may be considering suicide, talk to them about your concerns. You can begin the conversation by asking questions in a non-judgmental and non-confrontational way.
Talk openly and don’t be afraid to ask direct questions, such as “Are you thinking about suicide?”
During the conversation, make sure you:
Stay calm and speak in a reassuring toneAcknowledge that their feelings are legitimateOffer support and encouragementTell them that help is available and that they can feel better with treatmentMake sure not to minimize their problems or attempts at shaming them into changing their mind. Listening and showing your support is the best way to help them. You can also encourage them to seek help from a professional.
Offer to help them find a healthcare provider, make a phone call, or go with them to their first appointment.
It can be frightening when someone you care about shows suicidal signs. But it’s critical to take action if you’re in a position to help. Starting a conversation to try to help save a life is a risk worth taking.
“And do not kill yourselves.  Surely, Allah swt is Most Merciful to you.” (Quran 4:29)

May Allah swt make things easy for us and make us among those who always provide helping hand to others. Aameen Suhaibbhatt85@gmail.com

Poem Kashmir

KASHMIR

By Syed Mustafa Ahmad
My brothers are far away. Streets are closed and red. Springs are gone and never to come. Battles are lost and never to win. Autumns remain all time, Emotions die every time.Gloom welcomes everyone. And sadness has become fun and habit. Mothers are violent While fathers are silent.Every house has a fresh grave. Are not Kashmiris brave? We bade goodbye to our hearts. We leave our hearts in graveyards. The Sun is evident of day to day crimes.Night-long massacres are known by common Kashmiris. The Sky always is sad. A mother in Kashmir is full of sighs.

Dil Se Dilli Tak

Dil Se Dilli Tak
 Hope flows in Kashmir

The hopes of dialogue and peace in Kashmir  have risen after the recent All Party Meet at Delhi .
In the first gigantic political exercise after the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, the regional political party leaders raised the issue of restoration of statehood of Jammu and Kashmir during the meeting in New Delhi on Thursday.
Fourteen Jammu and Kashmir’s mainstream political leaders attended the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24 June 2021.While talking to the media, Indian National Congress’s Ghulam Nabi Azad said that from their side, 5 demands were put forth in-front of PM Modi.
The Major five demands raised by the Congress were statehood should be restored soon, assembly elections should be conducted quickly, the Centre should guarantee lands and jobs for the people of J&K, Kashmiri Pandits living outside the Union Territory should be rehabilitated soon and the political prisoners, who have been detained prior and post August 5 decision should be released immediately.
Peoples Democratic Party’s Leader and Former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti raised the issue of restoring Article 370 in the meeting and emphasised that the people of J&K will struggle constitutionally and legally to fight for the Article.Peoples Conference’s Sajad Lone told the media that emotional bonding prevailed during the meeting.
He further did not reveal the particular discussions that took place inside the residence of the Prime Minister.
However, PC’s Muzafar Beig confirmed that the majority of the regional party leaders demanded restoration of statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.
He further said that it hurt how Article 370 was abrogated but now the case is in Supreme Court of India.
Apni Party leader, Altaf Bukhari said that a positive atmosphere prevailed during the meeting. On the otherhand, Former Home Minister P. Chidambaram on his part  slammed the Modi-led government for insisting on elections in Jammu and Kashmir before granting statehood.
Chidambaram said in a tweet, “Congress and other J&K parties and leaders want Statehood first and Elections afterward, Government’s response is Elections first and Statehood later.
“The horse pulls the cart. A state must conduct elections. Only such elections under a State Election Commission will be free and fair. Why does the government want the cart in front and the horse behind? It is bizarre,” he added.NC was also vocal on its vision. We told PM that we don’t stand with what was done on 5th Aug 2019. We’re not ready to accept it. But we won’t take law into hands. We’ll fight this in court. We also told PM that there’s been breach of trust b/w State & Centre. It’s Centre’s duty to restore it: Omar Abdullah, NC.

The hopes of peaceful Kashmir have been reignited with this recent all party meet.

Fruits of Sehat Scheme for Jammu and Kashmir

The insurance of health of common masses especially the poor class had been a real big issue in our part of world . Financial Doom, Cover Story 21 June,2021.

The economy of Kashmir is crumbling at a fast pace . The ragging pandemic of Coronavirus has wrecked havoc on global economies and the Economy of the Kashmir has been especially hit hard .
The financial doom is evident in Jammu and Kashmir . The rising number of suicide cases and growing frustration and drug abuse are direct consequence of the financial doom .Recently, the representative of as many as 35 associations related to business and industry attended the meeting. It was agreed by one and all those businesses in J&K need relief and revival financial packages immediately to keep the wheel of the overall economy in the UT moving.

The present scenario in terms of losses and showdowns of business units and establishments were thoroughly discussed in the meeting in which stakeholders shared facts about the ground situation. They said that the pandemic has created havoc on all kinds of businesses in J&K. Former Chief Minister of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah on Monday said the economy of Jammu and Kashmir is on the “brink of collapse” as every sector in the union territory has suffered losses in the last two years. Addressing a meeting of the party’s constituency in-charges of north Kashmir’s Baramulla District at party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha here, Abdullah expressed concern over “the soaring unemployment” in Jammu and Kashmir and the alleged rising incidents of suicide among the youth.

 O government !
You are visiting Mars?No need,No need,But visit “ Dalits” [1]house To behold the doomed face of humanity

Not due to class Not due to Ski They are Neglected For their Dalit being O government !Now you’re visiting Dalits’ house With some tailoring machines So you can proudly name them “skilled men power”?No need,No need.

Visit them with some educational plans,With some books and pens,And implement fully the privilege they have,Write not just in paper,Speak not merely is words But be an action man.
O government !Adopting social democracy Could utterly be a much better way Than to eulogizing political democracy And incorporate all the marginalized groups of individuals To make better Nepal, New Nepal.

THANK YOU, NEWS KASHMIR MAGAZINE

Syed Mustafa Ahmad

I am thankful to you for providing me a chance to write.

You are fit to be called the mirrors of society. My talent was given a platform by you.

My mistakes were accepted by you. It needs a big heart and you do have.

From social to political, you do touch economic and moral sectors.

You helped me to run, when I could not crawl. You accepted me when rejection was the order of the day.

Yes, I am thankful to you for providing me an opportunity; For journalism has lost its credibility.

My words were my soul and my mistakes were the light of hope. Both made me to build and that is why I am going.

I will miss my column in simple format.Well, I promised to come back again; But like Satyajit Ray’s servant “ Abraham “ I could not make it.

Shamim Ahmad Shamim’s friend left the world and there came no disaster; In the same vein, mine quitting will be not against the order.

Let me peacefully like Buddha left my family in the dark night.

I am trying to be a warrior to fight. Masroor Sahb says, “ Ye Shaam Ruzin Yethie Musalsal”, So I am leaving myself  in the darkest hour.

Like Masroor has answers to tell, my answers are to be bold. Maturity comes when you are old.
