Take Care of Your Heart

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEART

Dr Suhaib Ashraf BhatHeart-related ailments among young people around the globe have become a concern for health experts. Heart attack is not just a heart disease but it is a threat to human existence. There is deep data which we need to know. A heart attack occurs when the flow of blood to the heart is blocked. The blockage is most often a build up of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries).  Let’s go through some facts about heart:1. Heart is a muscular organ that continuously beats for one lakh times in a day.2. The main function of the heart is to pump blood and nourish the body with oxygenated blood.3. In a day or 24 hours, the heart pumps almost 5000 gallons of blood.4. A heart helps the body to be free from carbon dioxide and other toxic elements. The reason is that it supplies oxygenated blood throughout the body.5. Myocardial infarction is made up of three words. Mayo is muscle, cardial is heart and infarction is the insufficient supply of blood to arteries or heart issues.
Common heart attack signs and symptoms include:
Pressure, tightness, pain, or a squeezing or aching sensation in your chest or arms that may spread to your neck, jaw or backNausea, indigestion, heartburn or abdominal painShortness of breathCold sweatFatigueLight headedness or sudden dizziness.
Not all people who have heart attacks have the same symptoms or have the same severity of symptoms. Some people have mild pain; others have more severe pain. Some people have no symptoms. For others, the first sign may be sudden cardiac arrest. However, the more signs and symptoms you have, the greater the chance you’re having a heart attack.
Some heart attacks strike suddenly, but many people have warning signs and symptoms hours, days or weeks in advance. The earliest warning might be recurrent chest pain or pressure (angina) that’s triggered by activity and relieved by rest. Angina is caused by a temporary decrease in blood flow to the heart.
Although the risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction, or MI) in young people is relatively low, between 4% and 10% of heart attacks occur in those under 45.  For some, the same lifestyle factors known to contribute to MI in people of all ages, such as diabetes, obesity, smoking, and being sedentary, often are at least partially involved. At the same time, there are a handful of lesser-known risk factors for MI that are associated with heart attacks experienced by young people. If you’re “too young” to have a heart attack, the chances you’ll have one are extremely low. Even so, it can’t hurt to know about the few risk factors that apply to younger people, as well as any measures that can be taken to help prevent an MI.
The overall risk factors for a heart attack are well known, but bear repeating, given that some that once applied mostly to older people are increasingly applicable to the young.
In particular, type 2 diabetes—which often results from poor diet, inactivity, and being overweight or obese and hypertension (high blood pressure) are increasingly associated with early heart attack risk.
In a 2018 review of more than 28,000 people hospitalized for a heart attack between 1995 to 2014, 30% were between 35 to 54 (considered young for the purpose of the study). What’s more, the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes has increased in this younger group. These conditions were observed more often in women than in men.3
If you’re worried about exercising too much, that’s a concern you can generally rule out. There have been a few reports that extreme endurance exercise may lead to the development of scar tissue in the heart, even in young people. However, doctors don’t know yet exactly what the scarring (fibrosis) means, and there is currently no significant data to suggest it can cause a cardiac event.
Furthermore, heart attacks are not a common cause of sudden cardiac death in young people. Overall, there are many more studies that show exercise prolongs life and reduces the risk of cardiac issues.

A heart attack, also called a myocardial infarction, can be fatal, but treatment has improved dramatically over the years. The heart senses emotional information five to seven seconds before it happens, while the brain senses it three to five seconds beforehand. So not only are emotions important contributors to our output of thoughts, but they may be one of the best ways to influence and create a change in what and how we think.
In 1974, the French researchers Gahery and Vigier, stimulated the vagus nerve (which carries signals from heart to the brain) in cats and found that the heart and nervous system were not simply following the brain’s directions.
In 1983, the heart was reclassified as an endocrine gland when a new hormone called atrial natriuretic factor (ANF), which affects blood vessels, kidneys, adrenal glands and regulatory regions in the brain, was found to be being produced by the heart.
Dr. J. Andrew Armour discovered the heart also contains a cell type known as intrinsic cardiac adrenergic (ICA), which synthesizes and releases neurotransmitters once thought to be produced only by neurons in the brain and nerve ganglia.
The heart starts beating in an unborn fetus before the brain has been formed, a process scientist’s call “autorhythmic.”
Dr. Armour introduced the concept of a functional “heart brain” in 1991. Considered an independent entity, the heart’s brain is composed of an elaborate network of neurons, support cells and neurotransmitters which enables it to process information, learn, remember and produce feelings of the heart and then transmit this information from one cell to another.
“We observed the heart was acting as though it had a mind of its own and was profoundly affecting perception, intelligence and awareness,” explained McCraty.
According to Goleman, it’s a person’s EQ (Emotional Quotient) that enables them to succeed in life as much or more than their IQ (Intelligence Quotient).
During the ‘60s and ’70s pioneer physiologists John and Beatrice Lacey conducted research that showed that the heart actually communicates with the brain in ways that greatly affect how we perceive and react to the world around us.
Neurologist Antonio Damasio stresses the rationality of emotion in his book Descartes’ Error, where he emphasizes the importance of emotions in decision-making. He points out that patients with brain damage in the areas of the brain that integrate the emotional and cognitive systems can no longer effectively function in the day-to-day world, even though their mental abilities are perfectly normal. So have they not travelled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts. [Quran, 22:46]
Hearts are the main source of reasoning. Here, rationality has been associated with it, since no organ works if the heart doesn’t.
So you see those in whose hearts is disease hastening into [association with] them, saying . . . [Quran, 5:52]
Almost everywhere, feelings precede thinking. What you feel is what you say usually. It all starts from the root, out until the fruit. Is it really think before you speak, or rather feel before you do?
The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children. But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart. [Quran,26:88-89]
You have a damaged heart and it makes a lot of difference. So don’t take this half-heartedly!
Then do they not reflect upon the Quran, or are there locks upon [their] hearts? [Quran,47:24]
This implies that one can’t reflect if one’s heart is locked. Perhaps we should try to think with an open heart instead of an open mind, because if the heart is open eventually the mind will open, too, because thinking sprouts from the heart.
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favour of Allah upon you – when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favour, brothers. [Quran, 3:103]
Great minds think alike? How about this: Great hearts bond alike.
The prevention of heart disease in young people means taking the same measures recommended for older adults: following a healthy diet, getting regular exercise and routine medical check-ups, achieving weight control, and smoking cessation. However, there is growing concern that the message isn’t reaching younger age groups.
Heart abnormalities are a risk factor for sudden cardiac death and heart attack in young people. Two such conditions are:
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, an inherited condition characterized by enlargement of heart muscle cells that causes the walls of the ventricles to thicken. It is currently believed to be the most common cause of sudden cardiac death in young athletes, though other conditions can also cause a heart attack in this population.
Kawasaki disease, a rare childhood disorder, causes acute inflammation of blood vessels. When coronary arteries are affected, the heart may be deprived of oxygen-rich blood, leading to tachycardia (an abnormally rapid heart rate), cardiac inflammation, and heart failure.
May Allah give shifa to all those suffering from heart diseases.

Momin Bilal Khan – Animal lover and Rescuer Unplugged

Momin Bilal Khan – Animal lover and Rescuer Unplugged

Mir Sabeen Gulrez

Momin Bilal Khan is a youth  from Srinagar, Kashmir . A 24-year-old businessman, already popular as the owner of Breeder’s Hub pet store, is now ready with its rescue team, named “Breeders Rescue Team,” who try to rescue the stray animals left on roads injured. They not only rescue but also rehabilitate. Momin, who was already in the business of pets, wanted that every animal be treated in the best way. He always wanted to do something good, so he set up a hub, namely, Breeders Hub, a well-known name in Srinagar for selling live stock and everything a pet needed, from shampoo to collar, from selling to buying a good breed of pet, is a benchmark which has been set by this young entrepreneur.

The rescue and rehabilitation operation, which was run by Momin Bilal Khan alone in its initial days, had to face many difficulties initially. But later on, five more people were added to this group, who, without any greed, voluntarily joined. After being joined by these people, they took this operation to the next level.

While talking to News Kashmir, Momin said, “I started my own business from just RS 1500/= which my father used to give me pocket money. From that saving, I bought some pet food and sold it in the market and gained a profit of just RS 100, but that one hundred rupee note changed my life. My love for pets changed the minds of my parents, who just wanted me to be in the public sector as a government employee, “Khan said.
 He observes :”
My perspective on life changed when I lost my bestie (name withheld) while saving a stray dog from a speeding car. I was very much there. We were both feeding them with milk that time. I still feel the pain and agony of how I took my friend to the hospital that time and lost him in my arms. My life was shattered and I couldn’t even breathe at times while recapitulating that scenario, Momin said with tearful eyes.

KPDCL Staff Doing Commendable Job:Aijaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Engineer KPDCL

KPDCL Staff Doing Commendable Job: Aijaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Engineer KPDCL C

Chief Engineer Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), Aijaz Ahmad Dar is an Engineer and Administrator par excellence. In an exclusive interview with the News Kashmir Magazine, Aijaz Ahmad Dar talks to Rameez Makhdoomi and Farzana Mumtaz.

What has been the reason behind better electricity availability this year in Kashmir?Apart from the dedicated and commendable job by my staff, who have been tirelessly working in filed on all fronts, better power supply this year in the valley can be attributed to the substantial system upgradation at transmission, sub transmission and Distribution Network, especially during the last 10 months. We have added 305 MVA at Sub transmission level and 82 MVA at Distribution level this year alone. Because of this capacity additions, we have been able to supply 10 percent more energy this year than last year. In the month of January, we supplied 18% more energy than Jan-2021. If we compare ongoing winter with previous, we are supplying about 150 MW more power and 50 Lac units more per day. Our outages have been minimal, all due to expeditious power restoration by my staff. The people also have appreciated the same, which in turn has boosted the morale of my organization

Is less Snowfall this winter responsible for better power supply?

No, we had good snowfall in the starting week of January this year in entire Kashmir. The load reduced but we restored it back immediately.  Our demand plummeted from normal 1600-1650 megawatt (MW) to 618 MW but, we restored it back to normal within few hours. Majority of the Receiving stations and sub stations were restored immediately barring few minor exceptions like upper reaches of Waltangoo, South Kashmir.Out of 35830 Stations, only 112 stations took more than 24 hours to restore, primarily due to inaccessibility due to heavy snowfall in upper reaches.

Common people Want to know what are smart meters?

The smart meters in nutshell keeps the customer aware about his usage and bill of electricity. The issues of under or over billing of customers would come to an end.  There would be compact and smart billing system in place. Are we moving towards an Era wherein we pay for electricity like mobile recharge?Yes, once the required advancement happens, it is highly likely that like we recharge our mobile according to our needs, same way we would be doing for electricity.  In coming years this could be a reality.

Would the rates of smart meters remain same?

The electricity rates would be same in smart meters as in previous electronic meters. The customers won’t depend on our human resource to take their reading, as with every hour, our system would update them.

What about interests of poor people in Kashmir in future billing?

This is not a question directly related to them as I have to look for Power distribution but still for awareness the poor people, I would like to add here that we have been taken due care of them by executing less load agreements and when you use less it would be less billing. For economically weaker section of our society, we have highly subsidized metered unit rates for initial consumption.

So we won’t be paying high like Mumbai or Delhi?

Our rates of electricity are lowest in country.  We are presently working on a new proposal of power tariff, which will be put first before Regulatory Commission for approval. Be assured, even after revision of tariff, Jammu and Kashmir will still be getting the cheapest electricity in country.

Your focus was on lessen the distribution loss?It is a reversible process. Last year, despite giving 10% percent more energy we were able to lessen the power losses by 6 %. This year too, we have been able to achieve target by 5 percent loss reduction despite giving more energy. On-going System renovation and modernization works especially by installation of AB cabling with smart metering, the distribution losses would be reduced greatly.

What about tragic loss of human resource during carrying necessary repairing of electricity poles especially daily wagers?

The death of personnel during repairing is unfortunate.  99 percent loss of life occurs due to violation of SOPs. We are conducting workshops to make our staff aware about SOPs and equipped them with protection gears & safety equipments and if they adhere to this, no loss of life will occur.

Is compensation being given?

We have to first get medical report and get FIR Report.  We have recently cleared 15 cases and more compensation cases are being cleared.

Your message to consumers and employees? The employees have to continue their work hard and prompt fault clearance. They have to play their role to ensure no power theft happens and lead the Power Corporation with great example of honesty and hard work culture.People should not use heavy loading which puts entire system in peril and unethical practices like power theft should stop. People should in these pandemic times, use online modes of payment for clearing their electricity bills, which will help us to serve them better.

Stray Terror

Stray Terror News Kashmir  Concern

Stray Dog menace is hitting very badly Kashmir. The heart of Kashmir Capital  City Srinagar  seems to be worst hit along with North Kashmir  district of Baramulla .Few days back in a heart rending episode on 6 February,  2022 A 10-year old boy was mauled to death by stray dogs in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district The incident resulted in  strong protest by the locals who said that the stray dog population in the area has increased manifold as garbage was being dumped in the area by different Municipal Council authorities.Only few months back , 33-year-old man from Sangrampora area of Sopore, who was grievously injured in a canine attack 12 days ago succumbed at home .Last month only , six-year-old boy was injured after he was attacked by a group of stray dogs at Malpora village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla District .To curb this stray dog menace the sterilization of dogs is the need of the hour  .Except for Srinagar, there are no dog sterilisation programmes in any other district of Kashmir, including Baramulla that is hit hard by dog menace. As a matter of fact , Canine sterilization is a set of commonly undertaken procedures designed to render a dog or bitch (male or female canine) incapable of reproduction. These procedures made their way into the veterinary lexicon after the issue of canine overpopulation. On the other hand of the spectrum,  From historic area of Lakchowk to Naseem Bagh , Baghat to Buchpora stray dog seem to be causing big issues for masses .
The need of the hour is also that masses respect environment  and dogs are provided food and nice habitats so that they don’t turn as killer dogs .It is quite visible on ground zero that residents of Srinagar are not impressive about  SMC’s ambitious dog sterilisation programme which is yet to take off in big manner  while the increasing population of dogs is posing threat to human beings.Dog bites are causing much havoc in Kashmir . As per a report by the department of Community Medicines, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, around 58,869 persons were bitten by the dogs in the last ten years in Kashmir. In the last five years, 30,000 dog bite cases have been reported in Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital (SMHS) alone. While topping the list in 2020 more than 2,800 cases of dog bites were reported in Srinagar only.Precious human lives too are being lost by stray dog bites . All these grim realities  call upon the authorities  to ensure  a wide ranging of measures to tackle the menace of stray dog bites .

Single Window great feat for Jammu and Kashmir Industry

Single window great feat for Jammu and Kashmir  Industry
The Jammu and Kashmir  Industry has received historic boost . Recently , in a historic achievement, Jammu & Kashmir became the first Union Territory to be onboarded the National Single Window System (NSWS). This marks a major leap in Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) in the Union Territory.

Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha launched the J&K Single Window Clearance System integrated with NSWS few days back I n the presence of Shri Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, Govt of J&K, Ms. Sumita Dawra, Additional Secretary, DPIIT, Shri Ranjan Thakur, Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce, Govt of J&K.

NSWS is linked with India Industrial Land Bank (IILB) which hosts 45 industrial parks of J&K. This will help Investors to discover available land parcels in J&K. The NSWS, a 2020 budgetary announcement of the Government of India, is a digital platform that serves as a guide for investors to identify and to apply for approvals as per their business requirements. The platform was soft launched in September 2021 by the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Textiles and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Shri Piyush Goyal.

NSWS will eliminate the need for investors to visit multiple platforms/offices to gather information and obtain clearances from different stakeholders. Twenty Ministries / Departments have been integrated on NSWS including Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare amongst others. Currently 142 central approvals can be applied through the NSWS portal.

14 States/UTs onboarded on NSWS include Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Undoubtedly,  this system is great boost to Jammu and Kashmir  economy .

Has the complexion of Board Exams Changed ?

Has the complexion of Board Exams changed?                      Owais Ahmad  Shah(The writer is PG Student,Kashmir University)
The 12th class board results have been declared in Kashmir division. The students are celebrating their success & those who have  failed in the exams are crestfallen & pained. It’s true that success brings joy & failure brings anxieties. The understanding that has developed in these results is that something has changed. The success stories in past would get much attention. It would be a story for everyone that who scored high marks & parents would push their kid’s ahead & instill positivity in them. There was a greater societal value for marks & it was continuing since year’s.It meant everything for us.Not only this year results but past year results have raised a very important question about the complexion of exams. In past, students would go through panic stations before exams, there was much pressure building up & exams were not easy to face.We would have students depressed & much things would happen with them. There was one thing that students would fear & that was getting failed. The recent results are much different & marks scoring has become now easy & it’s like everything is given for free.It is true that students have worked hard & they did it by their sweat but the manner this is happening brings to attention the complexion of exams. Are exams now conducted not as past? or Is there anything new that has emerged? I think there is a serious need to revisit exams & it must be seen properly that fair evaluation is done.We need success stories but positive success stories.Marks scoring should have a proper evaluation & students must be given marks which is at par with their work.
Each year we have thousands of students passing 12th exams & subsequently pursuing bachelors in college or technical courses outside. We should understand how much this society gets benefitted by the number of students. The number of quality students is always there who can shine out in competitive exams but the question is what if we would have students who have scored high marks without knowing what they did & how they scored it.The best would be to revisit these exams & ensure a credible examination system that would give an impression of fair evaluation & a good education.

A Fate Worse than Death

A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH
Dr Suhaib Ashraf Bhat
Crime against women, which is increasing day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute and second by second. Thinkers are thinking to reduce the crime; Philosophers making another philosophy out of it yet the rate of the crime is increasing by increasing rate. Punishment for the rape cases or acid attack is much lower than the harm caused. In court, the person freely walks in the society for months and years together, because of the ant-paced judicial system where we get hearings after hearings.
Rape and acid attack:  If we talk psychologically there is no difference between the two. The aftermath effect is most probably same.
Rape:  Is this not the shame for whole society? Rape is one of the more appalling things that one human being can do to another, and yet there is no other crime about which our society is so ambivalent. That must change.
The effects of rape can include both the initial physical trauma as well as deep psychological trauma. Although rape victims commonly report injuries and issues with their reproductive health after the sexual assault, rape doesn’t always involve physical force. The most common and lasting effects of rape involve mental health concerns and diminished social confidence.
Aftermath of Rape:
The aftermath of rape involves a cluster of acute and chronic physical and psychological effects. It’s important that victims receive comprehensive care. This only adds to the psychological impact of the rape on the victim. Victims of extremely violent rape, or those who were assaulted repeatedly or at a very young age, may need treatment for the rest of their lives. Is this not really breathtaking?
Increasing crimes is what we are witnessing these days. Criminals have come up with various strategies of committing crimes to which unfortunately our judicial system is continuously failing.
When a crime is done to a person and when the victim goes to register a complaint, the first thing our police personnel do is to deny taking the complaint. Even if they take the complaint, they file it in such an easy manner that the criminal can easily escape even if he has done a grave mistake like rape. When a victim is raped the police files the complaint of “sexual assault” or “attempt to rape” and when the victim is assaulted sexually or attempted to rape, these “kind” men advises not to file the case and get compromised as the career of the criminal will get destroyed. These people have soft hearts towards criminals and stone-hearts towards innocents.
When the victims force to file a strong case against the criminals these people have a very good strategy to harass them by taking counter case from the criminals and lay false charges against the victims. In this way the victim is harassed double. In some situations, the victims are unable to tolerate injustice and even go to the extent of committing suicides!

Acid attack: An acid attack involves the premeditated throwing of acid on a victim, usually on her face. It is a gender-based heinous crime against women. In addition to causing psychological trauma, acid attacks result in severe pain, permanent disfigurement, subsequent infections, and often blindness in one or both eyes. Acid attack is a form of gender-based violence aimed at silencing and controlling women. The use of acid as a weapon began to rise in many developing nations, specifically in South Asia. The first recorded acid attack occurred in India in 1982. In many countries, acid attacks constitute a hidden form of violence against women and children that often go unreported and the true number of horrific attacks taking place does not come to light.
Consequences of Acid Attacks:
Physical consequences: Acid burns through skin and flesh, layer by layer, causing great pain and injury. It eats through the two layers of the skin, into the fat and muscle underneath, and sometimes down to the bone, it may dissolve the bone. The profoundness of injury depends on the brawn of the acid and the duration of the contact with the skin – the burning goes on until the acid is scrupulously washed off with water. Further, if thrown on a person’s face, acid speedily eats into eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. The pain is agonizing, as a strong burning heat cuts through the victim’s flesh like a hot knife. Eyelids and lips may burn off completely. The nose may melt, closing the nostrils, and ears shrivel up. Acid can rapidly destroy the eye, causing the victim to be blind. Skin and bone of the skull, forehead, cheeks, and chin may melt. The acid usually splashes or drips over the neck, chest, back, arms, or legs, burning anywhere it touches. One study found that on average, the patient suffered by acid attack burns to 14% of their body surface area, with areas most commonly affected including the face (87% of the victims), head and neck (67%), upper limbs (60%) and chest (54%). Around a third of victims (31%) suffered complete or partial blindness. Psychological Consequences: A psychological trauma is suffered by the victim when she perceives that her skin is burnt off and after the attack the defacement and the disabilities with which they have to bear for the rest of their lives. Some of the psychological problems which the victims suffer are insomnia, nightmares, depression, fear of facing the world, headache, tiredness, fear of other acid attacks. They also feel despondent and worried as they think they turned an outcast from society. The victim’s life gets derailed as every time she looks in the mirror she is reminded of her present insecurity as well as the despondency of the future. Social and Economic consequences: The victims who are not married are likely not to get married as they suffer from many disabilities like blindness, deafness, and many others difficulties and our society’s mindset is not that wide enough to accept a disabled person as their wife. They even do not get a job notwithstanding being qualified as they cannot meet up to the expectation of their employers as not having the ‘personality. Instead of helping them, we make their life more annoying, as we commiserate them as we do not like to look at their faces for long. However, this approach needs to be changed as they are suffering not for their wrong, but due to the fault of some savage animals roaming around the society freely.

For any crime to get reduced or stop we ought to go to the root cause. Know the reasons why it is happening. Be honest in accepting the reasons and endeavour to solve the problem logically. The only solution for this problem and to defend the honour of women – “the jewels of the society” is hardcore punishment. Please no more TAREEK PAI TAREEK.

Acid Horror
Acid Horror

Acid attack…A chilling indictment of our society!!!

Owais Ah Shah

The writer is PG student,University of Kashmir.

The recent horrendous & horrid acid attack has yet again brought to fore the question of women security in Kashmir. This is not the first incident but year’s ago a young girl in Srinagar city was also brutally attacked by acid attackers. These are attacks with no end, whatsoever may be the cause & concern. It is an indictment of our society & we need not to only pour condemnation & use harsh words for the attackers but seriously something bigger must be done.

The society has to seriously come together on these grave issues concerning us everyday.Law can’t be the only sovereign remedy to get rid of such crimes where our women folk is easily attacked. There needs to be a calibrated, substantive approach taken up in the society that the crimes are curbed.

The victim of these attacks have to suffer everyday of their life & so does the family. It always keeps on going around & the pain never disappears. This is very cruel & causes anguish among every conscious minded human being.

We may go on pouring condemnation on this & tomorrow everything will be hunky dory. The principal question is that how long will such dregs of humanity move around & put the lives of other’s on peril. How long will our women folk suffer because of the mentally deranged humans.

The recent attack is a reminder for us to wake up from the slumber & take up a stronger fight against this & nip the evil in bud.

The biggest problem we suffer is that we raise fingers at the women. We say they have to be blamed for their dress, for their morals & blab blab but does anyone have the courage to speak up against those people who are taking drugs, moving out late in the night & their families wondering where they are lost.If they are questioned at home for all this nonsense, they beat their parents & abuse them.

We need to do basic counseling of our young generation. We must come together & address these grave social issues.Nobody would dare to do it if the mentality is improved & a healthy social order is created. These crimes will help & will continue to happen,if this society doesn’t understand it seriously.

We can’t imagine how much painful it would be for the victim & her family. It would be eating into their heart & soul.It is heartbreaking for me while writing this piece that how much suffering it would cause.

At the end,may a new dawn break in this society where our sisters, daughter & mother’s can live a life worth living.
